If you're the GM Phoenix, what is the max contract you'd give Carlos?

Is 3yrs/$18M too much?

Nope, as long as P. Marathe makes it team friendly .

Juice got a 4 yr $21 million dollar deal. He's a FB who touched the ball like 40 times this yr. why in hell would Hyde take less then what we paid a full back? It's one thing to take a team friendly deal, it's another to be disrespectful to a guy who touched the ball over 380 times this yr. His agent will tell us to kick rocks if we offer a deal less than what we gave Juice.

Gotta let him determine his market value and if it's nonexistent throw him on a 1 yr deal or something cheap.

I like Hyde and have defended him a lot in here, but if he wants to get paid it might be somewhere else.

Webzoners are a bunch of piranha's lol

Agreed, 3 yr 18mil with 10 mil guaranteed, Carlos is someone I want on the team, true 49er.

We have lots of money, and I don't think the free agents are worth what they're asking, might as well take care of your own.

Plenty of value to make a trade. You act as if the 49ers have the 23rd pick in the draft. It will not cost us that much. And the upside is too good to let get by us. This all hinges on what Carlos will do. Carlos Hyde almost rushed for 1000 yards with this shoddy O.line. That means Barkley should get 1300. The talent gap is probably that much of a difference. And you know the 49ers will address any issues on the O.Line this off-season.

Dude what are you talking about? If we have the 10th pick and have to move up to say the 3rd pick (ahead of the browns who a lot of people have him go to) that's a difference of 900 point in the draft value chart! That's at minimum our 1st,2nd& 3rd.

Only thing that's a fantasy is the thought that we'd move up for a RB & not have to give up a s**t ton of draft capital to do it.

I don't see them paying him $7 million a yr. that would make him the 4th highest paid RB behind bell (playing on the tag), freeman, and McCoy. Doug Martin is right at $7 million a yr but without question will be cut.

Just curious but what makes Carlos a "true 49er"? I see Gore as a true 49er, always kept his head down and worked. I remember a few occasions this season where Hyde got butthurt that Breida was taking snaps and pouted on the sideline.

I don't remember that gore sure as s**t wasn't happy to ever lose snaps when he was here.

I think that's football players in general, they feel like they're the best for the job and don't want to be taken out. Gore is the ultimate niner but Hyde wasn't some selfish dick who thought of himself over the team either.

He was thrown back, but at least he gave a s**t.
I guess if your Mike Ditka you would give up those kind of picks to move up.( see Ricky Williams) I don't think the 49ers are that stupid nor is it going to cost as much as you say. Hell the 49ers could use C.J. Beathard as a added piece in the trade, he now has value and he's better than what Cleveland has now. The 49ers are in a great position to do a deal, without damaging the future.

Drop this stupid ass argument, 49ers will not move up to draft S. Barkley. We want, in order, B. Chubb, Q. Nelson, J. Jackson or M. Fitzpatrick, R. Smith
