No you swap #1's then they'll get #10 pick a 3rd and 5th rounder this year. 2nd or 3rd round pick in 2019 and C.J. Beathard. Get creative Unbelievable. C.J. gave the league a sample size of his abilities.None of these Quarterbacks in the draft are Peyton Manning. No sure pick at Q.B. And don't forget the 49ers have plenty of money to spend and could add cash to the deal. These kind of deals are done every year. Sorry if this doesn't make sense.

Dude that's the value to move up....sorry if that doesn't make sense but teams aren't gonna take a 3rd rd pick to move down 7 spots, especially when it's for the best player in the draft.

CJ lol oh okay.... teams are gonna pass up on Darnold/Rosen and then pass on Barkley SO they can draft at 10, grab a 3rd rd pick, and get CJ beathard

Unbelievable

LOL here take a 3rd 5th and a future 2nd plus a back up QB, This isn't madden dude teams will laugh at that s**t, especially for a RB as good as Barkley...CJ completed 54% of his balls and threw more INTs then TDs. His "value" is as a backup nothing more. All these teams scouted CJ just like we did and he wasn't valued high.

Not gonna happen

John Clayton on 95.7 the game, "Isaiah Crowell will get $5M/yr to $6M/yr on the open market and a guy like Carlos Hyde clearly belongs in that top 3 group among FA RBs. I think they'd be best served to try and keep Hyde, but you kind of get the feel that they won't."

Oh, sorry. I came in here thinking this was the Carlos Hyde thread but I guess it has morphed into the Saquon Barkley thread. So if I go to the Saquon Barkley thread in the Draft War Room, will the discussion be all about Carlos Hyde?

Lol at this point, every Hyde discussion has been exhausted. Now just gotta wait and see if Shanny wants him.
Every time I see this thread in NT I read it as 'RIP Carlos Hyde, Ohio State.......'
If Hyde does to else new team then he is not smart. Hyde can run for less time and his healthy for balance. Hyde should know better because Jimmy Garoppolo can throw for lot time. If Hyde can helped for us and be team. We would love sign to Hyde for one year/4.3 millions.
I think Hyde should be brought back. Give the man a chance to play with a good oline and elite quarterback.

I think I read that Crowell has played all 4 years where Hyde obviously hasn't due to injury...

Who fits Kyles scheme better? And if thy are equal in regard to the scheme, then who's been healthier?

Crowell isn't as slow as Hyde that alone makes him a better fit.
I don't see much of an upgrade in replacing Carlos with Crowell. If he rejects the 49ers offer and moves on , then yes pursue Crowell. But I would try to keep Hyde. He knows Shanahan's offense and now has a good quarterback to compliment him, in the offense. Carlos Hyde has not been the replacment for Frank Gore that we hoped, but those are pretty big shoe's to fill. Carlos has been pretty good for us and another year in Kyle Shanahan's offense, he has the chance to be even better. I agree ,offer him a two year deal with incentives and let's see if he can get to a higher level of play. If not, then were not strapped into a long term contract at running back...

making a case for hyde to stay cuz he knows the system makes as much sense to me as keeping kilgore cuz he knows the system and players like him
Don't get me wrong, I like Carlos a lot, but I'm not sure if he's a pure fit in our system. He's not as miscast as DeMarco Murray was in Chip's system, but I could see us wanting a more natural fit.

Actually makes a lot of sense. Before this season, Hyde's YPC were much higher. Now that he's been playing in the system for a year he should play more instinctively and have higher production.
