Dude is going to get his last big contract. He's going to want to follow the money.

Gross...why we giving RBs cash if he can grab a UDFA like Crowell and make him a good RB? This draft is chalk full of studs, just draft one

This isn't the greatest WR class. I think RB's are going to fly off the board, hence why I think we should sign one or the other. Lynch and Shanny can still go ahead and draft a RB.

If he's smart. Can't pay rent with a Superbowl.

I don't know about RB's flying off the board - sounds plausible - but I don't see why they can't sign a vet that Shannahan feels good about for $3-6 million and draft a running back in the third or fourth rounds that he feels has good potential with a little time under the right coaching. $3-6 million isn't that big of hit to the cap. It's not all that much more than you'd have to pay a back picked in the first or second round.

Just pay him. We got no one better and he's serviceable. We have the money. As long as he's being reasonable just don't create another hole by letting him walk.

Addition by subtraction this team is better off without him.
When Dion Lewis is paid as a top ten running back, Hyde should be in the neighborhood. Judging by the market someone is going to pay for Hyde, will it be the Niners? Don't think so.

9th most yards from scrimmage by a RB in 2017.
Surprise no FA news on Hyde. He is supposedly the top free agent RB.
If I'm Lynch, I use the recent Dion Lewis contract as leverage to re-sign Hyde.

I'm not the biggest fan but I can't pin it all on him when our Oline couldn't run block for s**t.
Bring him back
No thanks. Hit the road square!
