RB Carlos Hyde Thread

Not so poor Carlos Hyde. I wish I had 15 million dollars.
Alway liked him as a person. Loved the pick coming out, but unfortunately, we never panned out here for one reason or another. Early it was injuries, later it was system fit.

Hope he has success, and wish him the best but he never did find a spot as a 49er.

With Hyde leaving, Garrett Celek is the only skill position player remaining on offense from the pre Shanahan/Lynch era. Just goes to show how truly lacking we were in that department, especially after Crabtree, Boldin and Gore left.

Why stop there....Staley and Kilgore are the only ones on the entire roster left from that SB team and that wasn't THAT long ago.

The deck was always stacked against him since he was drafted to replace a legend. Have to give him a ton of credit for keeping his head down and working hard, never heard him complain once despite all the coaching changes, and as much as he got hurt, he tried to play through his injuries.

Cleveland is a great spot for him. They've got arguably the best OG combo in the league in Bitonio and Zeitler, they run inside zone over 40% of the time, and Duke Johnson is the designated receiving back, so they can play directly into Hyde's strengths and minimize his weaknesses.

Talking to reporters about decreased playing time:

"That wasn't injury-related," said Hyde, per Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk. "That was just the coach's call … I don't like it"

Isn't he from ohio, or did he just play college football there?

That explains it, Cincinnati folks hate Cleveland.

Inner state rivalry
Whoever looked that up really needs a life. He was what a freshman or sophmore at OSU.
