I won't get a chance to rewatch the game on NFL Rewind until later but it looked like most of the game CHI was stacking the box and focusing on stopping the run. Our pass run ratio was 34/27.

and they still didn't stop it though. we just stopped running with power. and we didn't pass with intent to spread their defense thin. the offense essentially didn't do anything to assert itself.

Firing Roman won't help, Harbaugh still has his say on what he wants on offense. He'll just find someone else that agrees with him.

This. Make no mistake about it, this is the offense that Jim wants, this is the offense he approves of and played in.. The worst part about Harbaugh is that he's dogmatically attached to this offense because of his own personal beliefs and loyalties, fire Roman, bring in whoever you want, this will still be a very conservative, "go for the safe points" sort of offense with a 1970's era passing philosophy.

Good enough to get you to the playoffs and just good enough to get you beat sooner or later when you get there.

Spot...freaking...on!

You have Carlos Hyde and your giving the ball to bruce miller on third and one? Couldn't understand that one.
I could. Miller has got the power to launch through the middle. Boone simply whiffed a block, otherwise we would have received another 4 downs.

With all the talent we have offensively, we continue to limit ourself by lining up in Pistol Formation..

Help me understand??
I think it was at this time last year a lot of people were writing us off. Calm down people.

they didn't stop gore at any point and he only got 13 carries hyde only got 4. they were geared up to play the read option after what happened to them last week. so just smash them in the mouth and win the game.

my problem with roman is he didn't commit to something. he ran a cute offense instead of one designed to do something. if they're gong to load the box spread them out use all the wr's and te's and make them come out of it. no shots down the field nothing. why?
cause that's what roman does. as soon as i heard chris collinsworth say roman was upset he didn't get to use his plays against dallas because we were up so much (which pretty much confirms the fact that we went right into cruise control for the 2nd half of the game) i knew it was going to be a long night and it was. i can't tell you how many times we ran the same damn play action bootleg play to the point the bears new it was coming before they even finished the play.

we didn't run bunch formation 1 time. not once.

not 1 single time.

Especially given the talent we have at WR. Why have these players when we don't use them? I makes no difference if you have Calvin Johnson, Dez Bryant or Julio Jones starting, if Bruce Miller is the first read on passing play, and Derrick Carrier is the first option on a boot, these players don't matter.

nope they sure don't

I said that last season. Nobody believed me.

It's almost the same as with Jimmy Raye and Co. ...I assume that all of them could do it better or put another approach on the gameplan and so on but at the end of the day the philosophy is predetermined by the HC and either the OC adjusts to it or he leaves.
its obvious we need to go back to kilgore splitting out wide

Very correct sir. 1st down keeps it alive.

Also - my girlfriend knew it was going to Crabtree.

Another thing. We didnt score in the second half we get the ball with around 5 minutes left down by 8. Instead of getting down the field and scoring quickly and having some time left in case we missed the 2 pnt conversion they play very conservative and play for a last second td with hopes of 2 pnt conversion. Very poor decision making if you ask me

"Very poor decision making..."

Sir, you're being too kind.

Haha. I dont think I can use the words I would like to
3 years in a row no offensive creativity ...time to get a new oc ...roman is to cute ..for his on good ....what do you think shanahan can do with this offense

In the 49ers only possession in the 3rd quarter Gore was stopped for 0 or negatives yards on 4 of 5 plays where he ran. And Hyde had 4 carries for 0 yards.

lol at people rolling out the shock and awe about roman today..... he is the same person he always has been. everyone kept saying,, "well maybe this is the year' well maybe he finally gets it".. jesus one of the reasons i never got to shook up about our so called new toys we got in the off season was because I knew roman was roman,, what made you guys possibly think he was going to change his stripes.. Then that goes back to the fact that JH is just as much to blame because he is an enabler.. then it goes back to,,, nothing will change major on offense with this regime. you have to ask yourself " are we better off than we were three years ago,, worse or the same? then you have to decide if you are happy with whatever your answer is.
