Wrong.

9ers have won 1 since it's implementation.

It's a duck, brah.
Cuz they're the better team right now. This is a thread about Niners being a laughing stock, no? Once the Niners do something worth defending then I might change my tune. Just giving props where props is due... Frustrating being a Niner fan when team is headed in the wrong direction.

You calling me a Seahawks fan brah? That hurts! I'm just pointing out that since the modern salary cap came into existence and since they came into the NFC West they have had our number more times than not and recently their FO has drafted better and hasn't been afraid to correct their mistakes ie, Start Wilson over Flynn, ship Percy Out, etc. while our FO still has Roman, and Krap is still starting!

So let me get this straight. You are claiming to be a 49ers fan?

No, its not a thread about Niners being a laughing stock. it's a thread about Seattle being a bizarre city with bizarre fans and a bizarre media that has a childlike inferiority complex targeted on the 49ers. The Seattle radio stations are like a bunch of giggling girls singing "wer're better than you are, we're better than you are."

There are homers on sports talk radio in EVERY city.
Here's an interesting exchange between a Philly sports talk show host on a Seattle sports radio station yesterday . . .

That was hilarious. Great stuff. I agree, The Philly guy does show his ignorance. The Seattle sports media is entertaining I'm not denying that. I enjoy listening to them. But Seattle does have a unique fascination with itself. Maybe because of the geographic isolation

Bingo! We have a winner!

Prior to this last year, there was a bigtime "no respect, no attention, no coverage, etc" feeling from sports fans in the Seattle area. In many ways, it brought the fans closer to each other because the only media attention we got was from our own local radio. After a while, it almost became a running joke comparing ourselves to Alaska, or Canada, or some other northern territory FAR removed from the masses of typical American publicity. Heck, even now, I think that feeling probably persists - even though clearly, you couldn't rationalize it lately.

So yeah, there may be some truth to the accusation that Seattle fans haven't handled the attention of a Super Bowl winner as humbly as some would prefer. For starters, we're not used to the attention. But with that said, I think some of the fans on this site have also pegged your own fan base well in some respects. I'm not sure some fans in the Niners fan base are all too gracious about being somewhat overshadowed in the division. But I understand that.

One thing we all know is, what comes around goes around. It's only a matter of when.

Well said!

I'm tired of this thread
We have 5 Super Bowl ! LMAFO ! The seagirls only got one ! One ! Hello ! We are the kings of the NFC ! I think the seagirls think there The Steeler ! 6 SB ! Seagirl ! Ha ha ha ha !
f**k Seattle! I dislike that team and their a*****e fans more than I have any other team/fan base in a long, long time. Their coach is a total douche IMO and I think their "fans" are a band wagon joke. We may not win another title ever again. But they will definitely not win four more titles even if the league continued for another 200 years.

The 49ers are definitely not a joke or laughingstock in that little town or anywhere else . The joke is Seattle thinking they can even start to measure up to Bay Area success.
