I have been here in the area since the late 90s and I don't agree with that one bit. They didn't give a crap about the Niners until Harbs took over, maybe a few haters after the Sharpie game but when I moved here their fans seemed to actually like the Niners. Trust me, I have been to every Hags/Niners game since 2002 and they pounded the crap out of us, giving little care for the previous success. To them, the Niners were hardly on the radar. They aren't insecure of the Niners, they talk about them all the time now because we have been good and a very difficult game for them.

I don't talk SB smack to them, I did say a few times that at least when we went to the game that the Niners won, but 2012 ended that and 2013 made it even worse. But those guys are obsessed because the Niners are no longer a speed bump to them like they were for most of the dark years. Obsessed yes, insecure? Not a chance.

Being a Niner fan will never suck. At least not since the 70s when I used to cry as a kid because all i knew was losing. They made all of that suffering worth it, long enough to last a lifetime. Any old timer like me knows what I am talking about.
they pretty much own us right now, so they will have their fun

That is your opinion. I know some Hawk fans and when our dynasty week comes on NFLN my good buddy that happens to be a diehard is very jealous and insecure. Sure he is loving his team right now and he should but he knows that when we sit down to talk football I've seen far more victory parades for the Niners than he has for SEA. Now general sentiment and today's youth might not give a f**k but they are irrelevant to me. All I care about is my buddies and this forum when it comes to football and only my brother in law that happens to be a Steeler fan can hold all time bragging rights over me. I guess I am from the old school of diehards where we keep a running tab on trophies which is why I had no problem rooting SEA on after they got the best of us this past season. I knew they only had one trophy so it is of no consequence to me. Good for them. I say let them have their fun but keep it all in context until I see them on NFLN dynasty week I ain't losing sleep

Everyone has their day and this is good for the NFL. There are 32 NFL teams right now and only 1 Lombardi. You can't win it every year so odds are you won't but when you do and in our case if you have done it 5 times consider yourself extremely fortunate

move

This. If I got myself a sweet job at Google or something and found myself living in SF. I'd have to accept that by staying a Seahawk fan, I would have to subject myself to dealing with the fact that I'm in Niner-Nation and thus must deal with what comes with the territory. If the part of my life was as bad as you're making it seem. You really have two options: 1) Move to the Bay Area or 2) Deal with it. I'm not even trying to be an a*****e here, this is just the situation of being a fan of a rival team of ANY city. Outside of maybe NYC because that place is such a melting pot, I highly doubt even the Giants AND Jets fans combined claim even half the city.

It will always be true. But honestly when you hear it and read it almost daily. It starts losing it's touch. Just like I'm sure all the 42-13, "The Tip" non sense starts meaning nothing to Niner fans after a while. It gets old real fast.

Maybe the best comparison I can make is the Super Model thing. Okay fine, you dated five super models and I'm FINALLY dating my first one. You will always trump me with the 5 > 1. But lets just say at this current moment, I'm still dating the super model (Seahawks as reigning champ until this season ends), and you're in the club still trying to hit on girls and not having an easy time with it or taking home a few fatties or whatever. I am happy at this very moment, and the 5 > 1 statement isn't hurting my feelings because again I'm currently dating the super model while you're not. History does matter, but we all still live in the moment.

Better example, let's just say on Thanksgiving Crab Tree pulled in a game winning catch on Richard Sherman. You bet your ass Niner fans would be all about it and living in pure heaven right now. As hawk fans we could point to that moment not nearly having the same value as when Richard Sherman tipped the INT in the NFCCG that led to the eventual SB win. But the fact is that play is now history, and if the Niners won on Thanksgiving by a play like that, Hawk fans making statements as such would be just seen as a weak way to mask their pain of living in the current moment. This is the same reason why I get irritated with Hawk fans who were screaming 43-8 as some kind of response back to hyped Broncos fans during the Denver game when Manning sent the game into OT. Like at that moment even a SB win of that magnitude something like that even mattered.

TLDR, 5 is greater than 1. But at the moment, it's not hurting our feelings nearly as bad as you'd like. Live in the moment, and worry about that TRAP Raider game coming up. Just as I am worried about the Eagles game.

What goes around comes around. The fan base here has said so pretty outrageous crappy things about the Seahawks so they are just giving it back. Especially now since it is apparent they own us big time.

This. I have said all year that I wish the Niners would stop being on SNF. If you go back the last few seasons, they have pretty much either gotten destroyed (twice in Seattle) or just plain embarrassed (Bears this year). I knew when they were scheduled for Thanksgiving primetime that they would disappoint. Maybe its just when theyre on NBC cuz they always seem to suck when they are

Yeah, like we are 7-5 and still in the playoff hunt despite crippling injuries all season. Wah wah wah it sucks to be a Niners fan.

Tell you what. Google Terry Donahue then tell me how much it sucks to be a Niners fan. Right now all I can hear is static.

Me and my buddies keep a running tab. I'm up on everyone except the Steelers fan. The SEA fan finally winning now but I'm way up on him right now. I know it was sweet last year but he is way back. I don't know what kind of game y'all playing but I'm still in good with bragging rights where I'm at. Every dog has his day
Kaep has one more shot at redemption. If he falls at Clink he's done. At least on my list.

The only difference between us and them is that Wilson see's the field and is accurate. That's it.

I WOULD TAKE OUR DEFENSE OVER THEIRS ANY DAY.
Jed York apologizes to the fans about the 49ers performance, but he allows the Seahawks to disrespect the 49ers by putting a Thanksgiving Dinner on our logo. No excuses, he should have gone on the field and thrown the table over. I'm certain this behavior would never happen under Eddie D.

the staff should've addressed this loss long before it happened. THere is NO way that they didn't see this coming. Our s**tty offense could barely squeak by the giants after getting 5 turnovers. Then we barely beat the redskins. A team who was just destroyed the week before by one of the worst teams in the nfl. Anyone who didn't see this thanksgiving ass whoopin coming is a blind homer or just doesn't understand the game.

s**t rolls downhill. This all starts with the HC and his entourage of potatoes. If this were happening to carroll and his staff, we'd be loving it too. Can't blame them. Harbaughs schtick is old and the players aren't buying into it anymore.
