I live in Seattle and had just watched the game at my friends bar with a ton of 49ers fans. We had a blast. No s**t talking but more or less bets on the next round. If you are over the age of 30 then most fans don't get riled up over petty s**t. Though, I did watch a fellow Hawk fan get slapped by a Niner fan after he jumped in her face after the 1st interception. Just be patient and wait for us to start losing then you can laugh when our fan base drops by half. Or if and when Russell finally scrambles out of the closet!!

P.S. To any 9er fans in Seatlle!! If there is a bar in Seattle that 9er fans have taken over then let me know. Always fun to watch a game in hostile territory.

No one in the Steelers fanbase cares what the Browns,Ravens or Benglals think. No one in the Cowgirl fanbase cares what the Eagles fans think. Nor the Lakers care what the upstart Clippers bandwagon fans think either. Same goes for Yanks, Bosox, etc.

All these great francises, whether their in the midst of a down year or not, only recognize their true peers. Those who have accomplished what they have, or surpassed their own accomplishments.

Me personally, those with 3-4 rings or more I respect. Short of that, the others n their opinions are irrelevant.

Agreed. I had a jackass sitting a few rows over yell "all you guys have is Montana, Young and Rice" (I was wearing a Young throwback)

Even if that's "all" we had, that far exceeds what their franchise can ever dream to accomplish.

True. But I can't wait until cap casualties, injuries, bad bounces and the eventual locker room turmoil erupts and brings this group of arrogant b*****ds back down to humility. It will happen and dick will be a key cog in their demise.

That's an interesting way of thinking. You do know, the "accomplishment" was by the players right? I mean, we fans love to say "we" when referencing our favorite teams, but the contributions of fans to any teams success is a distant second to that of the GM, coaches, and players.

So you see how your using that argument to distance 49ers fans from other teams fans simply based on what previous players from that franchise accomplished seems a little silly?

I would argue, if anything, the true and loyal "fans" of the historically really bad teams are the ones who deserve recognition for their loyalty. I mean, who wouldn't want to root for the Yankee's each year (absent any other loyalty)?

So if you feel like you're better than me at life because of which team you root for, then I guess all I can say is, congratulations!

Well, unlike some here....I appreciate the rivalry between the Seahawks and 49ers, and don't really have any hatred for your fan base. From what I can see, the fan bases are quite a bit more alike than I'm sure most around here would want to admit. It's interesting to me to see your (as well as other teams fans) perspectives. I obviously just lurk most of the time. But don't feel TOO special, I lurk on probably about 10-15 different team forums.

In a lot of ways, I prefer the critical perspectives of opposing fans to the Homeristic perspective shared by most other Seahawks fans. There are fans here who put a lot of work into the posts - for example, the coaches perspective thread currently ongoing in the other sub-forum. That stuff is golden. There's plenty of people over on .net who do great post-game write-ups regularly. But that type of post, and the degree of effort (including screenshots and GIF's) is unique and informative. Having only played football a single year in my youth, I'm not ashamed to say I have plenty more to learn about the sport.

Anyway, that's the honest truth. Honestly not trying to ruffle any feathers. But that doesn't mean I need to sing kumbaya with ya'll either

They got a great team and may repeat, butt we are the 49ers. 5X Super Bowl champions. Seattle will always be our suburb.
