Still can´t wrap my head around that play call.......Wow......just Wow......

Kind of reminds you of how the Niners Super Bowl went down doesn't it? Definitely eased some pain there.

Yep. It really does. takes about 10% of the pain off the top. I'll still never get over SB47

No doubt, it will always sting for me just like some of the worst in my lifetime ('83, '90 NFCCG, etc.).

But with the gutwrenching losses we've suffered as fans 2011-2013, and then the implosion and all that's happened since, I am just genuinely HAPPY that the f***ing Seahawks lost, and did it spectacularly heartbreaking fashion.

Couldn't agree more. As a general rule, I don't usually promote schadenfreude - but today is an exception.

For me I've hated the Seahawks ever since Day 1 of their existence...they started off the in the NFC West and and I had relatives who lived up there and they loved to give me grief about how bad the 49ers were and within just a year or so the expansion Seahawks were already better.

Then flash forward to the present-day Seahawks with the "12" idiots, the most corny, contrived, and just b**l***t sports fan gimmick there is...those a***oles act like they're SuperFan with bionic vocal cords when it's the stadium itself with the stupid patio overhangs that makes it loud. Chiefs fans making the noise they do in a 60s multi-purpose open-air stadium, now THAT is impressive.

Damn right. Those fans at Arrowhead are UNBELIEVABLE

Lol thats why you don't call a play for a garbage journeymen WR one yard from a title.

Especially when you have the second best RB in the league.

They also have Russell's legs, could have called a QB draw or a naked bootleg using Lynch either as a blocker or as a decoy.

Almost like calling a QB sneak.at the 1.when your running game.has.been good

Almost except that the QB sneak and the QB draw unfold differently at the snap. It was 2nd down they had time on the clock and a timeout left. Pete said they did not want to run it there vs goal line personnel, getting cute with a QB who is quick and elusive is a safer and smarter option than throwing it.

Pete Carroll - Blames himself
Russell Wilson - Blames himself
Darrell Bevell - Puts blame on WR

Ahahahahaha. Dude belongs in Seattle.

Honestly, I think he's right. Lockette got punked on that last play. Though, Bevell should've known better than to send a 150lb receiver across the middle on a slant.

That Seattle life

I wonder what Marshawn Lynch's agent thinks of that call.

I don't know how much thought really goes into a call like that, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were avoiding a Lynch TD as much as possible.

From the Examiner

"On this night, it could go down as the most painful loss in Seattle Sports history. They're going to need to commit to Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner with contracts to lock them up, but this will leave the door for other teams to spend on their players who are free agents. Malcolm Smith will walk while Marshawn Lynch could have played his last game in a Seattle uniform."

Damn it I want them to lose Wagner

That would be awesome. I hope some team out there offers him more money than he can refuse.

They reportedly did offer him a contract extension before this game - although, a Super bowl MVP would've probably upped his price-tag.

I'm a die hard niner fan but even I'm not that stupid

I wonder how many 'Hawks tattoos he had before 2012? Idiot.

Why would you even get a B2B tat when there is a chance at a 3 peat. f**king idiot... probably jumping off a bridge tomorrow.

I wish he had left his chiseled physique under wraps. Must be from lack of sun?

No way man. That just adds to the awesomeness of that idiot. Lmfao.

Heard he's getting it covered up with "Three-Pete"

LOL at that play call. Lynch always falls forward for at least 1-2 yards. It was in the bag and they took it out and gave it to the Pats. I'd rather not be in the playoffs than lose a SB victory like that.

They opted to play Russell Wilson Hero Ball so he could be compared to Montana and Brady......oops.

My thoughts too. They wanted Wilson to be the hero.

Maybe. But you don't call him out publicly. That's a 'behind closed doors' type situattion

ESPN just showed that this season Lynch has had 5 rushing attempts from the 1 yard line this season and only scored once. Not that they should have passed but interesting stat

Strange. I guess EVERYONE expects Marshawn - so they tried to catch NE off guard. So glad they did.
