I totally agree. I do understand their thought process and they have run that play successfully in the red zone all year. I watched a lot of their games because of where I live and remember them running that play successfully quite a bit. Kudos to NE for preparing for that play. Butler jumped that quickly and Browner made a great jam at the LOS to interrupt its quick hitting rhythm.

Just like in 2012, I would have run the read option before throwing it. This one is a worse in my opinion

I called SEA to win this game but credit to Brady for actually throwing to ball 50 times and coming away with a win vs SEA. That is extremely hard to do. You give that ball to Lynch 3 times at the 1 yd line he falls in. Dude was falling forward after contact 2 and 3 yards or more at a time all night!

Huh...

A scrub that got cut trying to rub the win in Sherman's face. A big FU to the entire organization

If so, that's awesome. Browner just gained a few points in my book. Sherman getting a taste of his own b******t.

LOL at that play call. Lynch always falls forward for at least 1-2 yards. It was in the bag and they took it out and gave it to the Pats. I'd rather not be in the playoffs than lose a SB victory like that.

They opted to play Russell Wilson Hero Ball so he could be compared to Montana and Brady......oops.

My thoughts too. They wanted Wilson to be the hero.

ESPN just showed that this season Lynch has had 5 rushing attempts from the 1 yard line this season and only scored once. Not that they should have passed but interesting stat

Strange. I guess EVERYONE expects Marshawn - so they tried to catch NE off guard. So glad they did.

Carroll's explanation was pretty clear and candid. NE stacked the box with 8 and were in man coverage with 3 corners. They liked the call vs that defense and the worst case scenario happened.

Credit Browner for jamming I think Kearse to disrupt the pick play. If he doesn't jam then Butler can't get to the ball

Browner wasn't matched up against him. He had his hands on Kearse.

Damn straight. Hit Delanie and Vernon right in the numbers for the win. Two different occasions. That's how you get it done!

And once again when confronted with danger, the bad man Richard Sherman reverts into a harmless puppy. Punk.
