Every team that loses has a "if and but" situation, what's new.

Two key things:

1. Brady had over 120 yds in the last qrt... and two TD drives. The NE defense played great, but two TD drives in the 4th qtr is something else...that much pressure, not much time, against that defense, no real big name receivers and all that.
2. Seattle defense became ordinary. They were the best defense in just about all categories, but that was a master plan to hit them where it hurts.

If a Niner fan were to rub it in my face today, I'd take it the same way as you probably took Hawk fans trying to rub SB 47 in your face immediately after the game. Did the Niners make it to the SB and beat the Hawks? No. And if a Patriots fan rubs it in my face, well congrats to them, their team was the better team, and Tom Brady is the GOAT.

A very key play that I don't think is highlighted enough by many of the post game shows is the 3rd and 14 that Brady converted early in the 4th quarter while trailing by 10 points. Edelman takes a huge lick from Chancellor and coverts. Brady was sacked on that 1st down and I didn't think they'd be able to recover from that. NE's OLine was very good. Avril being out was a big loss.

I live in Seattle. Went to the gym in Niner gear. Been listening to the melt down on local radio. My friends say the Niners didn't make it and they did. I tell them tha the Seahawks are my #1 team to hate and next to the Niners losing nothing is a sweet as the Hawks losing. I have a pep in y step.

KJ Wright got used by Gronk in ISO on the right sideline. Gronk is Gronk but he didn't do anything special. Single high safety with ISO on the edge? Pitch and catch.

That play WAS HUGE........I think the mental impact of Chancellor unloading on Edelman and Edelman absorbing it and moving forward, that was a tremendous changing point in the game where New England took Seattle's best punch and kept on going.

I don't think this superbowl could have ended any better for a niner fan! Russell Wilson chokes, bad call, poor sportsmanship by the cawkes....amazing!!

It's not a read, it's a play design. That ball was going to Lockett.

Butler just made a fantastic play. He actually says he got beat by the same play in practice. So unlike Allen Iverson, this guy learns from practice.

Steve Young was saying RW, when he saw the flash of color (butler), that he should have immediately targeted Lockette's back shoulder with his throw.

I just dont think you throw that ball at all unless the player is wide open. Anything short of that you need to tuck and run or get rid of it.

Remind you of any other play a certain team tried to run twice with similar results? No read, forcing the pass to a covered receiver...

Well they kind of threw it. They said Brady's average pass was 6.6 yards and thats probably after YAC. They basically subed the run game with a very effective short yardage passing game.

And that is the reason why Alex has always had more success against Seadderall than Kaepernick. Kaepernick looks awkward and late when throwing short passes. His long windup also telegraphs the passes to defenders. His passes almost never hit the receivers in stride. Until he learns to pass short, he will continue to struggle and lose consistently against teams like Seadderall.

Keeping it classy. I hope I never hear that guy go on another sarcastic rant about being a mediocre receiver. He's a #3 WR at best on most other rosters. Dude had 1 catch the whole game, a short TD throw and even that was only really because the referee set up a pick for him.
