525 yards of offense is the most by the Giants in 3 1/2 years. This guy won't get fired. Baalke/York will keep him around for a season or two because they won't admit they f-----d up by letting Harbaugh go.

Like... Is he throwing the game on purpose? Jesus, he know what works and what doesn't. Zone would be great if our defense was full of smart veterans not dumb youngins. Utilize their prime physical abilities in man to man!

We lost on a passing play vs a QB who threw 54 passes. Jeez, Mangini, I wonder....

Was watching NFL channel, they were showing the highlights of this game. What one guy said will sum up the defense tonight:

With less than a minute left, Giants have 3rd and 10, a 4 yard pass to Vereem turned into a 25 yard gain. Not a single God d-mn 49er defender in sight. The guy commented "where is the 49ers defense on this play"?

Let's see what tomaulas buddy tarver can do. Can't get much worse than mangina's consistent failed coverages.

It's like he's calling a game as if he's the defense on the field. First of all it is much more difficult in real time and secondly, we don't have master chess players at each position.

JUST PUT YOUR PLAYERS IN THE BEST PLACE TO MAKE A PLAY, darn it!!!!

Glad to see people finally realizing who is at fault for our terrible defense.

When we run a simple scheme with 4 pass rushers and man coverage, we look good. When we get fancy trying to disguise coverages and play lot of zone, we suck. Very simple.

Problem is, Mangini wants to run his scheme without the personelle or experience to do it effectively.

I took a lot of crap when I said, jokingly, that defenses designed to confuse, end up confusing themselves some times!

Well, it happens, and it is happening to damned much, I knew there would be a learning cure on this defense, but it looks like it will take most of this season.
