When we run a simple scheme with 4 pass rushers and man coverage, we look good. When we get fancy trying to disguise coverages and play lot of zone, we suck. Very simple.

Problem is, Mangini wants to run his scheme without the personelle or experience to do it effectively.

And against veteran QBs who don't even have to break a sweat destroying it.

I would believe in him if we had crap personnel, but honestly, we have some damn good talent on our D.

IM CALLING TOMSULA out. He needs to fire Mangini and get a capable replacement or take over the defense himself. If our head coach can't take over an aspect of the team, then he should not be our head coach.

I can't believe he went back to cushy zone after the defense held its own versus GB playing mostly man coverage. The zones over the middle were getting torched all game just like the ARI game. He needs to call Quarters coverages. Get those two safeties a little closer to the LoS. Too much area behind LBs and in front of safeties all game long it seemed.

Here's a question. Where the hell was the 49ers DB's when Eli misfired (because of pressure) and it sailed in the air for an eternity and nobody but Brock was there? But EVEN BROCK wasn't ready for it and couldn't get a clean pick. That should'be been an easy int. Where the hell was everyone?

LOL! Geep needed a week off!
Our secondary is to young, inexperienced, and dumb to run Manginis COMPLICATED scheme. But we see results when mangini keels it dumb and simple.

Hated the DC since the PIT game. That was alarming, and Mangini continues to call the same b******t despite getting ZERO success. His zone schemes have been completely obliterated in 3 games now, you'd think he'd get the picture. Time for Tomsula to man up and tell this guy what to call on gamedays or hand Mangini his walking papers.

It takes time for a team to assimilate a new system, this season was shot from the start. The people who are the most upset, are the ones who had the most unrealistic expectations, me I figured we would struggle, and I have no stress watching the games. My only real hope every week is not to be embarrassed, and this week, was fine, we took steps forward, and Im not embarrassed at all.

Yeah but I think they thought as all the NY WRs were injured they could play more conservatively. Since they wouldn't have good timing between the QB and WRs...not sure why tighter coverage wouldn't have worked.

525 yards of offense is the most by the Giants in 3 1/2 years. This guy won't get fired. Baalke/York will keep him around for a season or two because they won't admit they f-----d up by letting Harbaugh go.

Fired? He's probably already penciled in as the next coach.
f**k YOU! SON OF A b***h!!!!!

Totally. Inexcusable. Final 2 minutes d/t injuries they had one weapon left on the field. And not a Niner within 10 yards of Vereen.
I remember seeing boldin right behind Mangina during the Giants game winning TD drive. He looked disappointed.

I think it will take time to get a feeling for what the D can do well in various situations. The DBs look like they are gaining confidence and are flying around a little rather than being too tight. Not sure what happened to the pass rush tonight. There was a lot of holding but that comes with the territory. Didn't see Armstead bulling his way around as before...didn't see him period.
