PLEASE don't let the win cover up Mangina dropping the ball once again.
It's incredible how he is allowed to keep trying to fit a square peg in a round hole....

That's what Mangini's wife said.

Flacco had 53 drop backs.
He was sacked 0 times.
Let that sink in.

It sunk in all game. No pressure when they needed it and just like last week our defense sucked. I am not a fan of the Mangina

I hate watching brooks and lynch trying to cover speed backs out of the backfield. That isn't going to cut it, they need to rush the damn passer.

Why the f**k does Lynch drop back in coverage so much? We have no pass rush w/o him. Harold is either not ready or just sucks. He has been invisible. Ahmad has flashes every now and then. Also, seemed like we barely blitzed. We need to bring heat.

I hate to say this, but damn, Wilhoite and Bowman can NOT cover worth sh!t in the middle of the field...this defensive scheme absolutely hangs them out to dry (square peg/round hole). What used to be our strength (middle of the field personnel) has quickly become our biggest weakness. Bethea has really lost a step too and Reid continues to avoid tackling IMHO.

Not impressed. Glad we won, but Steve Smith dropped 2 catchable touchdowns that instead led to field goals. That's not the D making plays. They are consistently getting burnt

I thought the coverage was better and tighter except for the middle where things break down. Beginning to love Acker for his sure tackling, and the other young guys show promise.
Heard on the broadcast that Bowman takes two painful hours every morning to get his knee loose...ouch! So he isn't all the way back and can't be expected to cover perfectly. Wilhoite has never been the best cover ILB but seems to be improving...just will never be great at covering.
I don't get using Lynch to cover so much...or Wilhoite. Seems like Mangini is imposing a scheme whether it fits the players or not. If I were in charge of the defense I'd use a nickle variation most of the time with three safeties (one at LB--Tartt?) and three CBs.
