The frustrating thing is guys like Johnson, Armstead, Tank and Reaser aren't getting time on the field to develop. I have no trust in this coaching staff, on either side of the ball, to properly develop any talent.
Not playing guys on the bench is an endemic disease here. Harbaw did it, now JT, Geep and mangini are doing it. A good GM would be leaning on those guys right now to make them play the guys with talent that aren't getting PT. And we all know who they are. Damn this organization is just double bat screwed.

This guy has been getting a pass due to the O struggles.

I am still undecided on if he is good or not.

But I will say that the D appears to be improving, making changes, trying new things, game planning per opponent.

And in today's NFL (post pansy pass interference) your team should be able to win when you hold a team to 21.

Anyways. Hopefully this trend continues.

Not sure what the snap count is for these guys but I've seen them all on the field. Harold as well. I didn't notice them until reading the game break downs by our in-house experts.

The defense has looked better, less confused in the backfield. But they still need to up the pressure on the QB.

Our Achilles Heel right now on D.
How has our defense been looking in the last 3 or 4 games? Not bad considering our offense has had about 300 three and outs in 3 of them.

Seattle's offense will have their hands full with this defense. I don't see anything that their offense does to scare anyone if you make them one dimensional. Mancini is bound to do better the 2nd time around. AZ too.

Huge props for shutting down the ATL run game as well as some well timed blitzes. The 49ers defense continues to show well at home. Ryan went with the checkdown a number of times for minimal yards. ATL only converted on 5-15 3rd down opportunities and the red zone stand towards the end of the 4th quarter was very well played to force the FG. Nice disguised 4 man rush on 1st down to generate an unblocked rusher. Props to DJohnson (2nd down) and Ward (3rd down).

We did very well vs one of the league's top 10 offenses. I think as long as Tank stays out of the lineup and Purcell gets more reps, we should do much better vs Marshawn. Just need Wilhoite to come through in two weeks.

I was really impressed with the defense yesterday. Especially the depleted secondary. It seemed like they were all playing well together and communicating effectively. That's even more bizarre given that a couple of these guys are essentially off the practice squad. It must have been one great week of practice and preparation.
Props to Mangini for checking his ego and not getting too crazy. Haven't seen our Safeties go to LOS and try to recover their deep responsibilities in a while.

I think the rain played a role in some dropped passes, for both teams. Ryan seemed to have a good stats day, but he had a very pedestrian 6.7 ypa. They put the clamps on Julio as well, limiting him to just 1 explosive play. All this with 2 new starting CBs.

Just wanted to mention the bomb to Julio at the end of the 1st half. It was Tampa2 so that's why Bow was running down the middle of the field. Bow was not manned up on Julio. This is the same situation as when Wilhoite was covering Wheaton versus PIT, deep down the field. I know many were like, "wtf Mangini why you cover Julio with Bow".

This was my first thought when I saw Bowman that deep. We haven't seen Tampa2 plays until Mangini and he seems to use a few every week.

Yeah but it was a rainbow sort of jump ball. Reid dissappointed. He took an angle that was towards the LOS instead of a more horizontal angle.

thl, prove me wrong with the coaches film. I'm excited to see that film this week.
