I wouldn't mind rotating safeties, but I don't know that happens.

I put most of what we saw yesterday on the players. All those missed tackles aren't on the coach. If this was a season long issue then we could place blame on the coach. Bowman and Whilhoite played like garbage. Purcell sucks. AA. Lynch, and Williams were the only solid players in the front 7 yesterday. Lemonior and Harold were totally worthless. I'm pretty sure Mangini didn't teach how not to tackle this week for the Seattle game.

Rawls/wilson got 150 rush yards after contact and the hawks got 150 pass yards after the catch - that's not on the DC - unless it starts happening over and over again - then its coaching. but in terms of no one tackling - it hasn't been happening - i put it down to an awful game by the players - on a lot of them there were multiple guys who missed - wasn't even a scheme issue where the wr/rbbeats one guy and there's no one left to stop them.
when bow looks like an amateur out there its just a bad day at the office

Huge gaps in the zone, players out of position to tackle ->see the part with huge holes.
And it's a repeating story, manigini has to go, together with his zone defence.

This guy has been a weird hire from the jump. Someone internally liked him and he got on. Knew he would work his way up. As an "offensive adviser" to a coordinator. Hell, he could be the head coach in a couple of years.

Better sack him now, then.

So if Mangini is fired my guess as to who will be the next DC, Jason Tarver, Tim Lewis or Clancy Pendergast. I like Tim Lewis, I like that he's called plays in the Super Bowl and had a top 7 defense (yes that's not too hard when you had Michael Strahan on your team I know).
