Some coaches, although highly respected, bring a losing mentality. Ever since he was hired to help the offense prepare for defenses the offense went down, then coach te's who went down and then coach the defense who went down. HE NEEDS TO BE LONG GONE FROM THE ORGANIZATION!!!!

Before the Harbuagh implosion, I was screaming for three coaches to be released, Roman, Chyrst, and Mangini. Balk nuked the coaching staff, and we all know only cockroaches survive s**t!
Mangini must have mind powers. How else does he convince people he is worth a job?
He seems to go away or try to outsmart what has been working against stopping a team whether by us or others teams in games before ours. Aggravating to watch

He did not produce good results as a DC in New England, they were one of the worst defenses in the league.
He did not produce as a HC.
He became the 49ers TE coach and the TEs got way less productive.

I have no idea why they promoted this guy.

Very much so.
Is it just me or is there never any adjustment in game. Common pattern I see Get torched in the air 1st half =Continue to get torched second half. Killed by intermediate routes 1st half =more of the same 2nd half. Get gashed by huge runs = coninue to get gashed by huge runs. Never seems to make in game adjustments wherever he goes. But then again your only option at this stage is Clancy Pendergast and he's pretty horrific too

I don't get it either. He should write a book on interviews, he'd make millions. How does anyone ignore his history as a DC and hire him as a dc?

My worst fear during the coaching search was that somehow he'd become our DC. The guy sucks..and always has sucked. Everything he touched on our team sucked. He even sucked on ESPN. He's been riding one 10-6 season for what seems like the last decade. The fact that people call this fool Mangenius is a friggin joke.
Back when this thread started, I made a comment about defensive coaches who try to so mass confusion in the opposition, some times just confuse their own players.

Some people didn't get it, last weekend, our confused defense allowed an underrated rookie to do what no running back, including a long list of hall of famers could not do, we allowed a 200 yard rusher.

Tumulus, nails the problem with Mangini's defense in this quote.

"Just go get it, you know what I mean?" Tomsula said. "Don't read your way through it. Attack."
Yes. Fired him. He is suck for DC. we cant stop on Wilson and Lynch and Rawls.
