I just wish this thread read "Eric Mangini FIRED by the 49ers". Oh, well, a guy can always wish.

We desperately need a football savvy search group ( posited by Phoenix in another thread), to sit down and make a list of potential HC candidates for jed. Those guys should be football insiders like Gruden, pioli, casserly, parcells, maybe mr. kraft of the Pats, and so on. Hopefully if jed got a group like that together they wouild get together a list for a HC for the yrs, not for one season. Jed has proven to be incapable of choosing a winner....erickson, noln, big mike, and then the baalke suggetion of harbaw. None were good choices. Hopefully jed gets a group together to advise him and let's pray he gets good advice. Then the HC should bring in all his own people, OC, DC, and all asst coaches. No way is mangini going to be here come next yr....at least we can always hope so.

It would be nice to see mangini elsewhere , just not here. He continues to leave the middle 1/3 of the field open for the opposition to throw to. He needs to go as badly as JT. But honestly, all coaches need the axe. We need to start over...with a clean slate at coaching slots...all of them.
