So which side been stuffing the ballot box?
Wow! I would have thought, judging by many recent comments, it would be much more negative. Just shows many fans want to be optimistic.

True, but it's surprising so many people are getting over their initial shock and being reasonable. This may be the best shot Mangini has to demonstrate his defensive prowess!

I think people also forget that this defense will have Tomsula's handprints all over it. Just like roman was the OC, but it was harbs leading the direction.

But I believe he will step in if he sees things going south. If Mangini is alienating players I could see him interceding...in a good way.

I read that he tends to rub players the wrong way but is an extremely knowledgable defensive guy.

I was one of the people asking for Manginis head, but that was as a TE coach. Mangini has no place touching the offense, especially a skill position coach. That said, He is a solid defensive mind, and should make a good DC.

It was reported by a couple former Browns players that Mangini acted like a drill sergeant when he was the HC there...

Yikes! LOL...that's pretty bad. Let's hope he is under control as a DC!

I just wanted him gone, period...
Now, that he's the DC, I have no choice but to deal with it and hope for the best. I'm going a long with it because it's a fresh start for everyone and it's too early (not even pre season yet) to torture myself with pessimism. Furthermore, I have (slowly) come around to appreciating our new staff (including Mangini)
