And then Tartt in the coverage on tight ends

and Ward and tart with reid and bathea when we're just trying to make sure the entire field is covered lol.

I am with Thl on the most intriguing part of the new season, the new team. And that is how the O is called and how mangini calls the D. Those two things are the highlights of this yr for me. Just waiting to see what they do is killing me curiousity-wise.

I know it's just the first game of the season but wow I love the saftey blitzes and turning Bowman loose. Mangini is bringing some lightning to our D!

Near perfect game plan by Mangenius. Tougher task ahead with Steelers and Roethlisberger on a short week, so stay focused guys!

That last sack that Aaron Lynch got was a beautiful play call.

this D is faster and younger than last years (yes not as experienced)

Mangini will have to make good decisions to keep the youngsters from over aggressive play - but hell of a start.

I'll throw my hat into the ring. I love this new look defense. Lots of different pressures and looks from the front 7. It was fun to watch but most of all it was effective.

Hats off to our new DC. Wow that sure didn't look like fangio's D. Nope, this one looked like a ball busting, slashing, blitzing machine out there, kicking azz and not bothering to take names. They said 5 sacks by 5 different guys, but I know I saw Bow get two. So there must have been more. When was the last time our D was this exciting? Honestly, I can't ever remember when.

Didn't we just lose 4 all pro LBs, a pair of all pro DLs, and a pair of CBs and a S? You would never have known it based on tonite. That was a Defensive wipeout, and we can thank Trent for providing the guys and our DC for teaching them how. Man do I ever love blitzing with the right people. It truly is exciting. I could watch just our D play all nite long. They were that good.

its not a guessing game. he's calling logical plays on logical downs. the confusion is the LOOK not the play.

on that lynch sack it LOOKED like cover 1 and it wasn't that created the sack but it was a normal play.

Masterful gameplan by Mangenius tonight. Was very pleased. Aggressive AND assignment sound football.

3 man rush. Play coverage and let Teddy scan the field all day.

Not sure I can be a fan of that for too long. Maybe our CBs were doing a good job, but seeing Bridgewater having all day to throw the ball is agonizing.
