If not for the ref gifting Seattle a TD no one is even talking about that last play.

For sure. I'm not advocating they go blitz crazy, but I was really nervous when they only rushed 3 men on key passing downs. I've seen Wilson burn teams over and over again when they don't send pressure and allow him all the time in the world to scramble and wait for coverage to break down. The Pats did a pretty good job throughout the game with their defensive plan, and the secondary played very well. They won the game, so it worked.

I was laughing so hard. The Mrs and I just got done jumping up and down in joy which was perfectly capped by Sherman crying. Other than a 49ers win I can't imagine a more satisfying SuperBowl in a very long time.

Tom Brady is my new favorite non 49er, and this from a long time hater.

Feel better knowing he is a local boy and a niners fan…

Sucks he tied Montana, but if anyone was going to do it, it might as well have been the San Mateo native who idolized Joe and the 49ers growing up.

Montana still has the record for most TD's without an INT at 11. No one comes close to that. Montana had 4 superbowl wins and not 1 single pick in all 4 games and Brady threw 2 picks in this 1 alone.

Of course! Brady is great. Montana was picture perfect. Nobody comes close to him in my book.
I couldn't watch the game because the thought of those buttwipes in seattle winning again turned my stomahce so I recorded the game and then watched after the seachickens lost the game.

It was everthing you thought it would be and more. Sherman makes an ass of himself bragging his butt off long before the game is decided ending up looking like a total douchebag. The legion of doom gets taken for 2 TD drives in the 4th QTR when the game is on the line. Lets not forget the defensive letdown. They choke at the 1 yard line. It is such a disheartening loss it will haunt the team for years and years to come. Pete Carrol, welcome to the nightmare. Watching him and Sherman on the sideline during the obvious choke job is priceless. Now they can 2nd guess themselves all year long. Then they finish it up with a classless brawl like crybabies on the NFL's biggest stage which should garner a big fine and should be a suspension in there as well.

What a bonehead call. Even if the CB doesn't make a great play you have to throw that pass over the line which means there is a chance it could be tipped, you have to fire the ball in which means there is a chance the receiver might not be able to handle it and it deflects of his hands. Why would you risk a turnover from the 1 yard line when you have Beast-Mode on your team?

CHOKE
Pinching two loafs right now. I named the first one Doug Baldwin, working on Richard Sherman at the moment.

I believe Joe's SB qb rating was something ridiculous like 127.

Yup.

68% cmp
285.5 yds/g
11 TD / 0 INT
127.8 QB rating
4-0 record

Perfection

Add in steve and our SB qb numbers were 17 tds with no ints in 5 games. Even adding in kap our qb td/int is 18/1...just ridiculous.

Just mind-boggling. We've been blessed with some of the greatest QB play ever in big games. Can't complain.

I have big hopes for Kap going forward. As much as people like to complain, for a "project" QB, his numbers are really pretty good. He has shown the drive to prepare, so I'm hoping he can put it all together. If he does, he is going to have a long career with a lot of wins.

I actually watched the Seahawks Americas Game for last year and listening to the lack of respect Sherman has for Kap, even months after the season just shows who he is. Stated that Kap can't throw so once they realized he was gonna play like a RB, they were prepared. Can't throw? I recall some impressive throws that game that made everyones jaw drop. The one to Boldin. The 4th down floater to Gore. I wish he didn't throw the fade to Crabtree and stuck to Davis, Boldin, and Patton on the final red zone possession, but still should respect that he put them in a position to win.

I'm a believer in him. Still a ton of untapped potential there. This off-season's coaching moves have me very worried though. I'm not sure Chryst and Logan are the guys to best develop him, but I'm willing to give them a shot before judging. Kap is at a critical point in his development, he'll be 28 soon. These next couple seasons will make or break him imo.

Sherman got what he deserved yesterday. Their entire team did. That's the last time those punks will sniff a SB, hope they enjoyed it.
Seahawks official thread now please.
