Excuse me??? Wasn't Reid the one who got a concussion hitting a Seattle WR week 2 in 2013 LMAO? Or wasn't Reid the one who got a concussion trying to hit RB Brandon Oliver of the Chargers? Wasn't Reid the one along with Boreland the one who got punked after an INT by Russell Wilson? Oh I thought so. Listen, Eric Reid is a "Decent" player but for him to be like Dashon or anything close to Dashon, he better get on the Ball and matter of fact Reid might up and retire too many dings.

You guys gotta give Dashon his props her being FEARLESS and a tone setter for the 49ers even in the LEAN years. Remember that MNF game in 2009 vs the Cardinals where Dashon had 3 ints and a forced fumble and sack??? Just sayin.

What I remember is poor tackling angles and big hits that got flagged.

That never happened. Ever.
Reid sometimes shows up and sometimes doesn't. At least you knew Goldson was going to blast someone in the game or make some sort of play.

And if Reid keeps knocking himself silly, he's going to have a short career.

From PFF
Dashon Goldson usually ranks near the bottom in the tackling department and he finished third-worst while Ryan Clark led all safeties with 22 total misses

I dont know how to post tables but you can get the numbers here: https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/02/10/sig-stats-tackling-efficiency-dbs/
Just thought Id post a few more opinions on the Bucs trying to trade Goldson:

Good luck with that. Trading Goldson will be next to impossible given his enormous contract. Tampa Bay signed Goldson's replacement at free safety, Chris Conte, on Thursday. Goldson's play has deteriorated rapidly since joining the Bucs in 2013. Either way, he won't play another down for Tampa Bay.

Goldson was an abject failure both of his seasons in Tampa, performing as one of the league's worst safeties. That, coupled with his advancing age (31 in September), made him a no-brainer release for a team that's performed comically poorly in free agency in recent years.

He was garbage that could hit...this is a dumb arguement. Clearly a safety doesn't need to cover, or have ball skills or wrap up for that matter to most of you. All that matters is a couple of highlight real hits a season that end up being 15 yard penalties anyway.

you're right. Clearly Reid didn't get beat one on one for a TD vs M Bennett....

I'll counter that, with this. WTF is Goldson looking at? There's this dude named Julio Jones that needs to collect some attention. So Goldson needs to pay up.
