does pff track how many times goldson made WRs alligator arm a pass?

you can't deny that big hits, or the threat of a huge hit from a known decapitator, affects the way a WR or TE attacks the ball when it's in the air. Goldson made plays even when he was no where near the ball.

for instance...

you remember the play RIGHT before that one???? I do.

and where are those plays since he left SF??? face it the pass rush and DL made his job ALOT easier...the game isn't about hard hitting SS anymore it's about ball hawks and not missing tackles.

Which Reid is Neither of. Just another Baalke casualty pick that we wasted #31 and #74 overall to move up to 18th. Bad move turns out

I'd just like you to level with the rest of the zone here. What are your feelings on Eric Reid? Do you think he's legit?

7 INTs in his first two seasons....much much better tackler than Goldson ever was and guess what he's not costing us $8 million a year!!!

EVERYONE on defense took a step back this past season...we lost our pass rush, lost great vets with rookies taking there place, and add in a horrible coaching staff top to bottom...did you think Reid would have had a monster year this year? I'll add he lost Bethea for most of the season as well.
why dont all you Goldson haters go jerk off to some PFF rankings

Why don't you calm down and attempt to be civil.

Sorry. My satire meter is on the fritz and it's never worked that well with the written word anyway.

My thing is that I really liked the way Goldson played on the Niners. It seemed to me that he was carrying on a fantastic tradition around here playing like Ronnie Lott in his later years. And he was exciting to watch. But if the question is who's better, I've got to say that they simply don't play the position the same way so it's a complicated question for me.

Everyone should know by now that the NFL doesn't want people to play like 'enforcers' in the D backfield. Fans just need to accept that reality and move on or find another sport, IMO. But, that being the case, I think you want the faster, coverage guys back there. I think what the NFL wants to see is D-backs who prevent the pass from completing by making a play on the ball and not by punishing the receiver. And if that really is the case, I'd rather have Reid because I think he's faster and a better cover guy.

lol you have no answer to PFF but "I saw him make nasty hits!"

Email PFF and ask them why Goldson scores so poorly. Theyll answer you. I was in your shoes 3 years ago about Ahmad Brooks. I was sure he was a great player, and emailed PFF about why he was getting such awful grades. They emailed me back, laid out every reason, and I got owned. I had no comeback. Theyve done the scouting.

Like ive said a MILLION times anytime people want to cry about PFF (mostly because it makes their opinions look bad), its not 100% accurate. Nothing is. But its WAY more accurate than the next closest thing. This is a professional scouting system. The NFL itself recognizes it as legit.

When PFF says Goldson is a -66.0 career player, and some fan says hes great, because he watched him make plays, someone is wrong. -66.0 is damning. PFF is either totally off base, or the Goldson fanboys have NO idea what theyre talking about. Ill put my money on the scouts eye.
^ lol relax bro

PFF had Armstead ranked higher than JJ Watt. sound credible? PFF is flawed.
