he just doesn't fit well in today's NFL. He gets fined/suspended alot for big hits. I thought Whitner was better overall.

He doesnt fit well in any era, because hes a FS that cant cover or tackle...

Goldon was always overrated by the Webzone. He was the classic case of a flashy player (i.e. big hits) that really was overall kind of mediocre. He reminds me a lot of Cox in that sense; Cox was also flashy (ballhawk, interceptions), but overall he was not as good of a cornerback as people made him out to be. Defensive backs are really hard to judge, because most of the time we can't even see them on your broadcast, so we're forced to rely on only a handful of plays a game.
if he comes back at a reduced rate and backs up Reid

why, he can not cover, he can not tackle,, he does one thing and that is to hit people drawing 15 yard penalties,
He was on NFL network last night talking about his Buc's..............wait what??? Didn't he get cut a couple of weeks ago. I am confussed is he or isn't he with the Buc's?

He is most probably about to be cut by the bucs.....not cut yet I believe
Curious to ask my fellow 9er fans, who do you think is better between Reid and Goldson? Do you wish we would have kept Dashon or are you happier with Reid?

Me personally, it's close, I think I'd have to pick Dashon because he provided us with a precense of intimidation that Reid doesn't, those hard hits were ridiculous. However, Reid has some hard hits up his sleeve as well, and he is better in pass coverage, so I can see if many of you would prefer Reid. Goldson was a completely different player with the 49ers. Once he cut the dreads he was never the same lol.

You can answer this question from two perspectives, who do you think is the better of the two now, or who of the two was better on the 49ers?

Reid by a wide margin.
Reid may be the next to retire -- what 3 concussions in two seasons already?

Reid by far, anybody seen his last instagram photos? he looks like he could could play ILB.
Gholdson may have the harder hits, but with the way the game is changing he'd get 90% of them flagged
