Hawk was a headhunter but he made many costly penalties at the wrong times. Reid's performance fell off a bit his second year. If Reid can stay on the he's the better player, if he can't it's the Hawk.

I agree, that's a big IF with Reid though. Hope he can stay healthy.

Goldson/Whitner > Reid/Whitner > Reid/Bethea

I must say though, Bethea has been phenomenal for us. He's always been a terrific player, did great things with the Colts.

Dashon struck fear in players. Worth the 15 yard penalties imposed by this p***y league. If he played 20 years ago, he's probably be remembered as one of the best.

I went with Reid simply for one reason, Leadership. He might just take over that role from Willis. Plus he's the teams NFLPA steward after only 2 years! Has to be something to that. Also, he's a hell of a player.

Reid is better coming into the league at safety. Dashon has to learned into the position for about 2 years to get to the level of Reid. I think Reid is more natural at the position and maybe better instinct. Different style. Reid seems to be more level headed. Dashon gets in trouble with too much aggressiveness on some plays.

10-15 years ago people would prefer Dashon physical, aggressive style. Now you want guys like Reid that play the free safety like the qb of the defense.

Bathea is better than both Goldson or Whitner. Dude balled hard for us.

Goldson was a great run suppot and hitter but missed alot of open field tackles bc he wanted to lay the hard hit. Goldson was a ball hawk but at times set himself up. Ried is a light wieght big hitter and his health is costing him. His open field tackling is better and he is good run stop support. They both have fine qualities but I do miss Goldsons smash mouth playing
