Me think the Niners defense destroyed the psyche of the whole Rams organization after Sunday

Assuming they don't trade back in, the Jalen Ramsey deal means the Rams will go five years (2017-21) without a first-round pick.
2017: to Tennessee for Jared Goff
2018: to New England for Brandin Cooks
2019: to Atlanta in trade down
2020-21: to Jacksonville for Jalen Ramsey
They must be delusional to think they can get right back to the SB. And Ramsey must be the missing piece

I don't think it's that big of a move for them...will definitely help but not exactly worried.

Yeah but half the field is now a no fly zone. Still a win to get a guy like that.
My ass lol we carved up Ramsey when jags came to sf
Yeah but Ramsey will shut down whoever he's defending.

They got an absolutely great player but it's not the player they needed imo. Should've taken a crack at Trent Williams. But hey Les Snead just wants the big names.

So someone explain the implications of their salary cap situation should they extend Ramsey, and ours

Desperation move.
This is great for us. Minimal short term gain while destroying their future in the process.
The Rams were fortunate to draft Donald/Gurley/Goff so close together along with getting McVay at the right time.
It allowed them the luxury of going all in to stack their roster. That luxury is gone and they haven't adjusted their strategy.
Glorious

So the Rams are one of two teams I predicted he would be traded to.
Guys were saying no way they traded for him due to salary cap issues but they did.
I said it would take a risk taker to make the trade and they have proved to be just that.

So I won't lie, my first reaction to this trade was not good. I love Ramsey and think he is the best CB in the game. So not liking the fact we'll face him twice a year, and honestly would have loved to have him here.
My very next thought though, was..."This isn't going to help you score against us". It's a desperate move, and I think it's more about the fact their home crowd was more OUR crowd, than about improving their team. Sure he's an upgrade over Talib/Peters. But trading 3 picks plus whoever they won't be able to re-sign because of the new contract, is really going to hurt their chances of getting that O-line fixed.
They may finish 3rd in the division this year. And very well may finish last, next year...

are we NOT liking the trade because we didn't get THE best cover cornier in football??
the way I see it, the Rams saw that WE are a #1 WR away from dominating the WEST, and the risk of giving up two 1st rounders for him just solidify that they will have someone to cover THAT wideout.
I know this much, our HC just got a sudden headache on how to attack one side of the field ONLY because of Jalen.
LETS ALL KEEP OUR FINGERS CROSSED AND HOPE FOR THE BEST !!
