this has nothing to do with this year. A major market team got a major market player. this is for next year and the following years..
Rams open new stadium next year and will be winners again. this year they just take a back seat to Niners.

I don't foresee the rams being winners again any time soon. An overpaid average quarterback, overpaid broken down running back, overrated HC and no offensive line. Rams will not be better than the 49ers or Seahawks for the next several years. They had their chance and they blew it. Ramsey is not going to magical fix this teams current and impending problems.

I mean it's not like Jimmy G. hasn't beaten a Jalen Ramsey defense before, which was a lot better than the one he got traded to. I don't think Shanahan is worried one bit, this doesn't affect Bosa or Ford at all. lol

By my calculations, looks like the Rams will have close to 110 mil tied up in 5 players next year with no first round picks for the next 2 years either.....🤑🤑🤑

This tells me Gurley is about to be cut sooner rather than later unless he takes a pay cut

Cut him? They can't he would have like a $25.6M dead money hit in 2020 lol. He has zero reasons to take a pay cut.

Realistically they can't move off him until after 2021.

Edit: saw that you checked out the contract after

No way, you can turn those late 1sts into multiple picks if you don't think there's a player there you want. Happens every yr (NE).

It's also all about that cap relief and having them for 5 yrs if you want.

Ramsey is a stud BUT he's still just one player. Throw in its football and players can and will get hurt. Having like 4/5 players eating up like 80% of your cap isn't smart imo. They basically gave up at least 3 rookies and more than likely Fowler for him.

I'm hoping that you're wise enough to NOT blame their D for not getting to the Super Bowl instead of their QB and the offense.

Pretty sure Kyle did just fine vs that Jags D (with an overall better defenses than LA) in 2017.
The Rams got a good player but they also paid a big price. It's hard to maintain a competitive roster the way they're operating. With the salary cap you need draft picks on cheap contracts to supplement the roster.

yup, end of the day it's all about drafting well....something they haven't really done very well the past couple yrs.

Only guys that come to mind worth a damn (that they drafted) are Kupp and maybe John Johnson?
This trade won't matter. We're still gonna sweep the Lambs.

lol ok with what money having their cap tied up to 4 players and no 1st round picks to fix their major weakness that pathetic oline. Keep living in a fantasy world, this move is all about desperation and winning now, snead can care less about the future and it shows. You act as if this is the MLB and theres no cap that all of a sudden with a new stadium that gets filled mostly with opposing big name teams fan bases is going to allow the rams to pay everyone
Rams have to figure out their O-Line.
