Another safety in the 1st would be sweet, especially if we're covering him to CB again.
Slightly kidding. Jalen has proven he's can play CB at a high level and he would be a big upgrade at the position. I think his measureables make him a little overrated, but he'd be a good pick.

It would be the equivalent of Crabtree falling to us if he were there at 7. Our defense would be amazing if we were to get him.

Would be amazing if he fell..he might be the best player in this draft..but reality is he won't get past the cowgirls and if he some how does then the Ravens will take him very fast

so Ryan Sakamoto seems to think we are working to trade up for Ramsey. I am not sure I feel about this because it would cost us a 3rd at the least. I know Sakamoto is in the building a lot and may have his ears to the wall.
But having ramsey would pretty much put us in line to have a really kicka** secondary in a year or two. Imagine having Tartt Ward and Ramsey all on the field. But I am a firm believer in that you fix the pass rush before you concentrate on building your secondary.
Thoughts?

If the 49ers wanted to play a lot more press coverage, Ramsey and Johnson would be a very intriguing duo at CB.

His article kinda sounds like wishful thinking. Basically just like one of us predicting them to trade up to grab the buy we like the most. I'd have no issue with the trade if it were to happen though. But I don't see the Chargers and Cowboys passing up on him.

His articles really don't ever have much research beyond it IMO...like someone else stated seems more like a wishful fan than anything else.

I agree. I think it all starts with the front 7. If you dominate there you can make an average secondary look great

Ramsey would add to a secondary that is rich with potential. We should trade Bethea if this happens. It won't happen, but it would be a dream come true. He would add a swagger to the defense.
