All joking aside. He will be matching up Vs Kittle. Will be a good battle.

No way, you can turn those late 1sts into multiple picks if you don't think there's a player there you want. Happens every yr (NE).

It's also all about that cap relief and having them for 5 yrs if you want.

Ramsey is a stud BUT he's still just one player. Throw in its football and players can and will get hurt. Having like 4/5 players eating up like 80% of your cap isn't smart imo. They basically gave up at least 3 rookies and more than likely Fowler for him.

Ya I mean, that's kinda my point. NE doesn't value them as much and they are known to move them and it works out.

You gotta have them to move them

LOOK, on paper, the RAMS gave up too much.. but bottom line, you ALL need to consider the fact that Jalen can make the Rams defense better while they rebuild the OL issue. The guy will still be in his PRIME while our WRs are getting ready to blossom up.. and in my opinion, that's a PLUS for them because they already have a corner that can deal with any WRs we may develop.

Had we gotten Jalen, he'd be perfect for the spot because Sherman is done after this year, I'm already saying that he's the weak link of our defense right now (aside Arik) and I see him moving towards that FS position.

Jalen can man the LCB spot, while eMan and Spoon can compete for that RCB position.

That's the last time Kyle play Ramsey soooo...

How they gonna rebuild the OL without draft picks and no money lol. They clearly aren't good at developing players. Great Ramsey can take away Deebo or Pettis and SF will just run it down their throats or beat them with Kittle. Like they did last week.

Sherman isn't done after this yr. He has another yr on his contract and is playing good ball.

Ramsey is ONE player who essentially can ONLY take away ONE player. Who's their RCB? They've given up 3 players, probably Fowler, and more for him. They have no depth because they're setting the market on every new contract they give out. NO depth in football and you're f**ked.

This isn't the NBA, you need quality top to bottom. LA doesn't have that and won't be able to have that the way they've built there team. They're like a lot of WZ "GMs" You want everything right now. There's no regard for the future and developing talent. Good luck with that strategy in a hard cap sport. This isn't the 80s

He won't put Rams fans in the seats and that was obviously a problem last week. The only defensive players that really excite fans are pass rushers. Other than that , most fans only want to see offense.
Rams got a great player that will not fix their issues or help them against the 49ers or Seahawks.

But may sell more PSLs.

I'll take a pass rusher that puts constant pressure on the QB or an O lineman that can protect the QB and open some running lanes. His effect on the number of wins will be minimal and may actually hurt this team in the long run. Compare getting Ford who is really helping to improve the pass rush for a 2nd rounder and Ramsey for two 1st's and a 4th. Tell me who got the better deal. Thank you Lynch for not pursuing this guy.

Ints don't tell the whole story for a CB, the same way sacks don't say it all about D-linemen. It's hard to get Ints if the QB won't throw in your direction, but you're still shutting down half the field. Deion Sanders only had 6 Ints in his first 3 years with the Cowboys, was he not a game changer?

That being said, I do think agree Ramsey's impact on the Rams win total will be minimal. It starts with the division first. So Ramsey will cover the 49ers #1 WR...who is that exactly? He does not counter our major strength, that's for sure. The Seahawks top WR plays out of the slot mostly, so Ramsey will end up covering D.K. Metcalf most likely? I think Metcalf will develop and is a huge big play threat, but as of now is only getting 2-3 catches a game. Not someone I would spend 3 draft picks and 15 mil a year to shut down. The Cardinals probably have the "most #1 WR" in the division with Larry Fitzgerald. But their spread offense alone takes away the effectiveness of a single elite DB. They are also the bottom of the division.

So yeah, Rams forgot an important rule...you win your division first...
Can Ramsey match up against TEs?

Obviously he wouldn't make much difference covering our WRs but if they're able to put him on Kittle that could be tough for us

If he is on kittle, the niners will not need to pass ever.

Or you are looking at a LB or S on a WR.

SHERM is done being a CB.. can't u see that NOW???

he will be a FS here if ever, but keeping him as a CB for another year will just not happen.

also, when you have a CB that can cover, it helps out the defense and what's lacking on that side of the ball.. why do you think you keep yourself on your knees every Saturday evening and pray for Spoon or even eMan to ball up every Sunday??

bottom line, we our a team on the RISE and if we are drafting LATE, there's no way we will find a player in JALEN'S caliber.. we'll be LUCKY to find one at least !!

GO NINERSSSS !!!

Ramsey has the physicality to play in the box. I always thought he would have made a better Safety than Corner due to his instincts and he shined more in college playing the star position which is pretty much a safety.

So if they pull a safety and go 3 corners when the niners 12 or 21, maybe. But they will then have players running assignments they are not used to.

Also, if they do that, i can imagine all the motion. Getting ramsey lined up over toilolo.

Or isolating ramsey in run D, either leaving him unblocked or letting a pulling linemen blow him up. Make the rams abandon that plan to protect his health.

The idea of this (and simply having a competent offensive mind at head-coach) makes me so happy. The thought of having Ramsey "lockdown" a receiver like Pettis or Deebo, or get mauled In the run-game lining up against Kittle makes me salivate

I hope this trade backfires tremendously.
The Ramsey trade was triggered by the Rams pass D collapsing against TB and SEA, and Talib's injury. I guess it took the Rams some time looking around for an AFC contender to take over Peters and his guaranteed salary - i.e. Baltimore.
