Never understood this move for them.

We got a half year rental for Sanders in exchange for what basically amounted to a 3rd rounder with the hopes of re-signing him.

The Rams got slightly more than a half year rental for Ramsey based on his word that he would re-sign for 2020 first-round pick, 2021 first-round pick, 2021 fourth-round pick.

I don't know...but if the Rams keep heading the direction they are going, I'd say we have a better chance of re-signing Sanders than they do Ramsey.

How awesome would it be if he just andoned ship

Naw i remember ppl saying 1st rounder but hell no to two.

People were panicking after Witherspoon's injury.

Even one 1st looks bad right now. He hasn't played well for the rams

He's under contract for next year under his option if I'm not mistaken but still it's not worth it and they'll be worse next year. He may not resign.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't trade him for some picks back next season. I doubt they envisioned missing the playoffs after trading all that away.

You know what, my apologies, I remembered wrong. He has one more year. It jumps to $13,703,000 in 2020.
The Rams are feeling the backlash of going "all in" last year...example: Donald, while still a great player, isn't as effective w/o Suh alongside him. Clay Matthews is a shell of the player he once was. Joyner's more hype than substance and has questionable character. Sanders will re-sign w/Niners...he knows if he does there could well be at least another championship ring in it.

The Shaguars couldn't handle JR and McBae won't be able to handle him if he decides that he wants to get out of control

Remember a bunch of niners fans wanted us to give up 2 firsts for Ramsey too....

I remember a fair number of folks on this board talking a lot of s**t about our FO for not making a bunch of ridiculously stupid trades. Love people's passion for our team, but I trust the leadership of our organization (KS, JL, and Co.) more than 99.9% of the fanbase. The team is in great condition because they are smarter than those who wanted to trade for Ramsey, etc.
My bad...was thinking of Ramsey but typed Joyner.

They spent two firsts for this guy and will have to give him a fat contract. Should've just kept Peters
That type of distraction lessens the morale probably even during a 10-1 winning season.Glad we passed on that nutcase.

He's a guy that can keep you on top...if you find yourself there. But if you're not... he will absolutely drag you down.

He talks big. But he's a slave to the moment he is in. As evidenced by the play posted above.
