I knew that was Ramsey and not Rapp. If Ramsey was expecting Safety help, why did it look like he was responsible for Sanders? Sorry Ramsey, but that one was on you!!!

It was on Rapp. It was zone coverage and Ramsey was passing Sanders on...to a defender who wasn't there. That is why Sanders was so open and why Ramsey looks so frantic trying to run him down after he realizes that Rapp is way out of position.
Rapp was supposed to be where Sanders ran, instead for some reason he was posted up along the sideline looking like Michael Scott doing traffic duty while letting Pam change a flat tire.

Ramsey was supposed to play shallow but left his zone because he recognized the blown coverage.
Did the same thing on his int earlier in the game. He left his shallow zone and made a play because he recognized where the ball was going.

Rex Ryan broke down this play verbally yesterday. Long story short, by his assessment, it was on Ramsey's total lack of any press on what supposed to be inside outside coverage by both Ramsey and Rapp. Ultimately it caused indecision on Rapp. It started with Ramsey.
Looking at the vid ...yep it's on Ramsey.

I can understand that JR was passing his guy onto Rapp, but the way he stands there at the snap let Jimmy and Sanders recognize the coverage breakdown almost immediately.
Obviously, we don't know what he's coached to do there, but I would think you would want to at least come off the snap aggressively to make them think about it longer.

I don't give a crap who's responsibility it was. I'm just happy someone blew the coverage and allowed Sanders to get wide open. If they hadn't there is no way Jimmy completes that pass and we likely end up going to overtime where a coin flip can decide the winner.

Sanders will re-sign w/Niners...he knows if he does there could well be at least another championship ring in it.
Joyner is in Oakland.
And Clay had a better season this year with the Rams than he's had in the last 5 with the Packers and that includes missing games with a broken jaw.

His persona wouldn't fit here. All he does is the blame game. Here, everyone takes responsibility even if it wasn't completely their fault.

I would incredibly love to see him walk away in FA from the Rams after hey spent two first rounders.

That wouldn't happen. They either extend or tag him, he won't be walking to FA freely

Apparently the play was designed to throw off the safety as it did.

Whoever's fault/ responsibility it was you never throw your teammate under the bus. Total douche maneuver. Doubt any of his teammates will have his back from here on out

Completely agree. But, that can be expected from a guy like Ramsey. He's not a team player when there's adversity and he's all about himself. Would never want him on the Niners.
