Yes. Franchising him also makes him a better trade candidate if you receive an offer you can't refuse.

Makes no sense to not re-sign him. Zero.

How important is money for him thou

What does it matter? Niners can easily pay him and Buckner market rates. Nobody needs to take a discount.

It matters bc of salary cap. Paying 3 DL top money is gonna hurt us elsewhere.

Franchise him.

I agree with that if a long-term deal can't be reached this year

But I definitely believe he stays in one way or another.
Hopefully if the price isn't too high and another team offers just a little more, he stays.

I'll believe it when I see it. Buckner should be getting more than AA and the belief is we have to franchise him so $18 million is the floor
They might can afford to pay him but will they is the question. Need to spend some cash on the secondary.

We'll draft a CB with our first pick imo. So I fully expect them to re-sign Arik.
Get it done Paarag.
I'm okay with they signing him now but if he gets injured again ima light this thread up erry day

Highly unlikely I would say.
Well we can lock this thread. He was a Baalke pick with a great wingspan. No way we will be able to outbid the Jags.
LET SEE if Baalke believed in his former 1st rounder and sign this guy to a great offer sheet !!!
Holy crap, never-mind. The Jags are in salary cap hell:

Baalke is not the GM in Jacksonville thus while he may push for certain players to be acquired, the decision is still ultimately in the hands of Caldwell.

Is Balke still working on his Ed Orgeron voice imitation.

What if Ed has been imitating Trent?
