Again, the big question here is that, how much would it cost to sign BUCKNER if we sign AA to whatever contract and AA ends up having another better year than Buckner??

Called em 2 bums In a pod 😂. Stopped following Sakamoto after he left but last I heard he was working for the Steelers. AA healthy and had a solid year and still getting hate. (Man, that contain in the SB tho bruh)
Gotta block those guys out. We all know Cohn is a joke who can't be taken seriously. Hopefully Armstead understands that the dude is a clueless paid troll.

I clicked on so many Cohn articles linked from the Webzone.. There was a time I almost erased the Webzone just because of Cohn.

Never liked the Cohns'. Arrogance runs in the family. Sakimoto is just his kiss ass buddy...

I'd like to keep Armstead but I am a little weary of giving him a massive salary, idk if he is someone we really wanna tie that much money up in and I don't see him giving us a hometown discount.
Personally I see us doing what KC did with Dee Ford - we franchise him and trade him to someone for a 2nd round pick or something like that.

Good post TANKLE !!!
Appreciate it Moon!
Let's not forget that we will most likely be getting Blair (hopefully we resign him), DJ Jones & and Street back in the rotation! When we had that amazing d line rotation - we were disgustingly amazing!
The other question is do we keep solly? Def not at his 5 year option but do we give him Armsteads Position and believe he will develop? Or pay up Armstead and get rid of solly?

I love how Armstead upped his game this year but its like do we trade Armstead? Buck? Ford? Bosa? We gotta let one or 2 of these guys go eventually. Id love to keep him but we cant have Buck, Ford, and Armstead getting 20M a year. Buck>Armstead for me. we CANT pay everyone. I say Tag if you wanna keep the line together, but if hes not happy with the Tag, then trade him for an early pick cause someone should give day 2 pick for him. Solly im not sure, maybe give him one more year and then trade or try to get something out of him this offseason. Blair and Jones were really solid for us this year prior to injury.

cap keeps going up and IMO Dee Ford isn't here long-term. AA just turned 26 and doesn't have a knee issue like Ford. AA is in my LT plans unlike Ford if I'm the GM.

Yup. Ford will be gone when it's time to pay Bosa. I think that should be pretty clear.

I think the whole Dee Ford thing is a legitimate question to raise. He is a really good pass rusher when healthy, WHEN HEALTHY. We are paying him a fortune and he hasn't been available much.
I haven't see the numbers maybe we keep Armstead this season on the tag? And if he doesn't have as good of a year, we can sign him up on a long term deal for less than we could this off season, right?
Also it gives us a chance to evaluate ford another season. So next off season we can make the decision of maybe we do keep Armstead (at least he is usually healthy) and we let ford go or trade him.
Some interesting scenarios available!

Don't want to lose AA but I'm afraid that midnight has struck and he will turn back into the unproductive, disappointing player that we've all seen prior to this year after he gets paid, but then you have to account for how much losing him will effect the defensive chemistry....
So on the fence with his situation. Can't count on DeeFord for a full season and we need to keep the edge rush position fresh and we need to add another guy (quality) to that spot and AA is solid vs the run as well as picked up his game against mobile QBs.
Transition tag?
Is anyone desperate enough to give us a 1st and 3rd?
Anything less than a 1st rounder plus whatever isn't worth breaking up the DL unit IMO.
