With this whole CBA thing going down, and roster moves being held up, I wonder if AA is close to a new deal, and this is holding it up.

Yeah but with an extension it can be paid out in bonuses to make the cap hit a lot smaller this year when we need it.

They can structure it so the 2020 cap number is low.

I think we should try to get a 1st or a second...

If not... Definitely try to get a deal done...

Blair and DJ Jones are pretty good..

If we could trade him for OBJ that would be exciting...

I just don't know if we would have anyone capable of running the deep routes like shanny needs...

Blair hasn't shown he's more than a rotational player and he's coming off a knee injury on top of it. Nothing against him but that's not enough if we're talking replacements.

Obj is an over priced cancer. No thanks. Sanders >> obj. Losing armstead and relying on ford will not work for us if ford has to sit out 2/3 of the season. Again. If thats the scenario better to move move ford resign armstead and sanders. 4 year deal and 2 year deal respectively.

Ford and Armstead play almost two different positions. Ford is a rotational wide 9 pass rusher who offers nothing else and is oft injured.

Again, the lack of respect our posters have for Armstead is seriously mind boggling to me.

ultimately its also up to Armstead himself if he wants to come back. I think the 49ers will make an offer but he will lean towards a bigger offer elsewhere. We try to tag him, the other teams don't budge. We remove the tag. He scoots. Or he sits out all year and we have to rely on scrubs. And Blair might not come back either. Maybe DJ Jones and Ford can play full time now.

OBJ is cancer

AA has said he wants to come back, he's from here and has done a lot in his community.

I'm gonna bet he isn't gonna want peanuts either.

IMO OBJ isn't a cancer. I've never heard anything about him being bad in the locker room and he really hasn't had any issues off the field.

He's a bit of a diva WR (like a lot of WRs). My only issue with OBJ is health.
