+1, who knows what his $17 million a year is going to cost us when it comes to resigning our other players.

Well, that sucks. so we have no cap now?

They were never gonna be big spenders in FA. It was all about keeping the team together.

Also not sure how they worked AA's contract...I'm guessing 2021 is when the cap will be hit harder. Need to plan any contracts around the idea that the cap will go up around $40M in 2021.

NOW they need to extend Buck, which will create more cap space.

Cut Coleman/restructure Mck/trade cut Goodwin. They can move money around. especially since they already have their starting QB on a good contract.

Yeah I hope he stays hungry. There's going to be so much cap space tied up in the DL that the team will need cheap contributors at the other defensive positions.

NFL team don't get tied up to any player for 5 years anymore. It's a series of 1 year deal with guaranteed money

focus should be buckner, kittle, then Bosa
Would have much rather tried to tag and trade him for a pick than this. Rather have that $$$ go to other positions/needs.

Bosa is still a ways off from being eligible for an extension.

Focus should be on pending FA's. Our guys will still be under contract and we have months before TC to get on those extensions.

meh. not bad. I hope he's not a one hit wonder. If only dee ford can restructure his contract and get healthy...

The slot he was drafted in suggests he wasnt.

Lmao
"Draft slot" matters! Since when!

YIKES.
Has anyone seen the terms of the contract yet? Until we do, the cries of "stupid ass front office" and "they overpaid" can wait. Very rarely does the stated value of an NFL contract mean that ALL the money is guaranteed (i.e. Kirk Cousins).

I trust Paraage signed him to a team friendly, cap friendly deal, as best as could be. There's no reason to think otherwise. Paraage been doing it for years.

Contract year try hard. Next year he'll return to his normal half assing self.

They can't be that dumb, they did reach the super bowl after all. Let's show some faith in the F.O.
