The re-structure last year was pretty idiotic. It reeked of Dee Ford restructure then, and it was proven to be a very dumb move this year....
Yea AA came up big time. Good luck

I know they wanted to create room to go all in, but I would've ate as much of his contract as possible in 2023 and parted ways after 2024. I can totally see a team signing him to a significant deal, even as an 11 year vet going into 2025 (see Trent Baalke).
Missing out on the comp pick hurts too.

I guess he accepted his championship window is over and it's now time to make as much money as possible

After the heartbreak(s) over the last few years, wouldn't you ?

Boom? What point are you trying to act like you proved? You said nothing of substance.

She thinks that proved something
Have fun going 9-8 and getting punted in the Wild Card round in Jacksonville I guess…

AA has had his best years. His age and injuries are taking a toll. I don't have a problem letting hum go. You can'y pay him the 3rd highest salary on the team with what he's been contributing recently. The Niners are looking ahead to when they'll need to pay Brock so they are clearing space now. Signing AA again by backloading the contract would hurt their ability to pay Brock what he'll probably want.

I believe no state taxes there. But it does sound maybe he was a little pissed at 9ers to begin with for this situation. Same money or not he felt time to go. That's fine.
