A lot of you are just homers. Business is business and he got a great deal for himself elsewhere. If the market didn't want him at that kind of money he would have came back. You can't fault someone for making the most out for the years he has left.

But its the same money he signed for. Sure it was a lowball but in the end, he's the one that made the wrong decision.
that has yet to be determined.

Its a news cycle thing. I understand it would be frustrating getting asked by your boss to give money back every year, however he's not hurting for money. Its not like the extra cash is going in Kyle and Johns pockets, they are trying to build a contender.
For me its a problem where I understand both parties positions and its unfortunate but life goes on, wish Armstead well but I don't care about hurt feelings of millionaires.

So he felt disrespected that the team was trying to keep together a Super Bowl team? Well he won't have to worry about the Jags disrespecting him that way!!

He capitalized on a successful '19 season. He had a breakout year, but I never thought he was consistently dominant. The team bet on him and traded Buckner. Bad move, especially since Kinlaw was a bust.

This guy…wish him the best but yeah he's washed and not worth the coin that dummy in Jacksonville gave him.

Good player over his career not great. He definitely struggled early on in his career. Buckner was better player by far. The 49ers dont owe him anything. He has made gobs of money over his career. If he really wanted to stay he should have accept the contract. Typical entitled athlete.

Yeah there's no way around it imo. They disrespected TF out of him and Wilks. Now we have to look at a DL full of patchwork players and coaches. Barf

Walsh always said better to get rid of someone a year or two early, than to keep them a year or 2 too long.

Weirdest fan syndrome ever is to be in another man's pockets deciding life for him.

Many people here forget that Armstead was talked about being traded I think even prior to the 2019 season, or maybe right before that season ended, like it was in talks.
I seriously remember it. And if it had happened, no Niner fan would've blinked an eye then.
Crazy stuff.

I think it was for a 2nd. I was okay keeping AA then. I just wish we made a better decision with the 1st round pick. I'd love a world where we could've drafted Wirfs (2020) and Aiyuk, but it was passing on Wirfs that enabled us to trade up for Aiyuk. Oh well. Hoping we can secure our future in the next coming years at OT and DT.
