I know we have a ton of cap space, but we have plenty of Big Ends already on the team, with Street going to be healthy next season as well, letting Armstead walk, or not pick up his option and try to bring him back for half that price would make sense to me.
Personally I like Buckner+Soloman in the middle right now. Really wish we didn't beat Seattle, having the number 1 pick this year, and being able to add Bosa as our LEO would have done wonders for our pass rush, and help out our secondary tremendously. Who do we look at now at 3?
Im driving the Jonah Williams bus if you'd like a ride....
What you are saying makes sense, but I can't see this team drafting a number 1 overall pick to play on the bench for a year, unless you want him to play guard for a year or 2. I'm crossing my fingers that our 2019 picks work our and we can invest a 2020 1st rounder in a tackle. Granted in my scenario, my first rounder is probably on the bench too lol, but it's with the anticipation that we are a non-losing or playoff team in 2019. I'd like our first round to get some mentoring from Staley for a year or even two + Mike McGlinchey will be two years in the game by then.
It's sad enough we didn't get a ring for Gore and Willis. It would be nice if one of our guys from the Nolan years won and I don't see us being that team in 2019.
Totally agree.
