I don't get the bust talk about AA. His 2018 was a first rounder's performance. He graded extremely well in just about every aspect of the game except tackling. If that improves he becomes a legit top 10 DE in this league.

He was always projected to be a prospect. When we drafted him it was expected he would need time. Injuries plagued him early on which only delays his development. Not saying that one injury free season means he's durable but if he manages to play heathy next year he will grade out the same as if not better than last year. And if so, he is commanding $12-15 million a year as a FA.

3 sacks and 48 tackles is not 1st round value especially for a guy who lost snaps as the season wore on. PFF grades however....
I'd extend AA, give him a 4yr deal, lower his 2019 salary, give him upfront GTD RB, and 2020 base GTD for injury, with 2021 and 2022 being option years.

I respectfully think he has done nothing to warrant a four year deal from us. i do not know the names nor do i have to know the names. but you can not tell me. there is not someone out there in free agency we can take that can produce and stay healthy as compared to this guy
Trade him to Bengals for AJ Green.

High character guy who has a few good years left and would be a very good target for JG.

If we're going to keep him, this, no doubt.
I've been anti Arik since they picked him after seeing rather average performance here in Eugene. However I have to admit that he played pretty solid football last year. Maybe he is finally figuring it out or maybe the coaches figured him out. Whatever the reason I would keep him unless there was a good trade available. Now they just need to get Thomas playing better and the line could be really good with the addition of an edge rusher this year.

I wouldn't resign him for $9.

I have been a critic, but after this last season I hope the team retains AA.

Seems everyone that wants to keep him is basing it off his PFF grading, which has proved to be a complete joke. he fails the eye test 9.9 out of 10 times, and ya'll wanna hand him $9m? BECAUSE OF SOME b******t, MADE-UP GRADING??

I have been an armstead hater even before we drafted him, but I didn't think he did bad at all this season, even a little decent. That said, I wouldn't want to give him 9 million. He's most likely a FA after this year and its best for both parties to say goodbye to each other.
