Well after feeling underwhelmed....we can never have too much depth at DL. Hope he turns out like Caleis Campbell. Welcome big boy

Drafting Armstead is like having no 1st round pick.

Except we did, and now have another 4th and a 5th for next year… so yeah

The panic in here is predictable, but I'm still dumbfounded.

#49ers GM Trent Baalke on Armstead: "He's unique in that he's 6-7, runs in the 5-flat range. Four techniques are hard to find."

This is the dude you wanted: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/marcus-peters?id=2552488
" Suspended for one game in 2014 by head coach Chris Petersen for a sideline tantrum that followed personal foul penalty. Was ultimately dismissed from team over multiple run-ins with coaching staff. Inconsistent with footwork and loose with technique."

#49ers Trent Baalke says you never trade back w/out an alternative plan. Coveted Armstead but had 2 players in mind

Safe bet, they knew SD wanted a RB, and that HOU with JJ, Wilfork & Clowney weren't going to take a D lineman. Well played TB

more I read about this guy the more of a Baalke pick he is. Played injured, not much splash plays but it is there, a need to build on what he can do better with consistency and add polish . . . he could be great for us in a few years.
Oh and he has long arms, another Baalke trade mark.

Draft Ninja. What's still shocking to me is that GM's STILL answer the phone when Baalke calls. And to be a fair value trade, that 5th next year will have to be a high 5th (the Charger's highest).

Yeah, need dominant front 3 to free the backers. Now, about those middle backers...
