Who? You keep saying stuff like this, put some names out there GM cciowa. Because Armstead had a pretty good season. People are still talking about him like its 2015/2016. He showed a lot of improvement which doesn't happen without a guy putting the work in.

If you're expecting him to be Justin Smith, you're going to be disappointed, very few guys who step into this league are or will be at that level. If you're expecting a quality 5 tech that plays very well against the run, then that is what Armstead gives you.

I don't think Ward is coming back, he was truly bad, doubt that was lost on anyone on the coaching staff or front office. No improvement with him at all.

Armstead has the opportunity to make himself a ton of money this year. If he has a good year, I can see a lot of interest in him in FA, including from a team like Denver where AA would fit perfectly in that Ray McDonald role for Fangio.

You should inform all the NFL teams that buy their data that they are getting screwed.

To be fair, unless you buy their Elite package, the information is so general that it only gives you a relative comparison. Still, it is the same for everyone, hence it has comparative value.

I don't always agree with their methodology and that is where you can throw down a few bucks and buy GamePass and see each play and decide for yourself. I saw enough from Armstead that he looked a lot more engaged and consistent than at anytime in previous seasons. He unquestionably played better and was the second best DL on the roster behind Buckner.

PFF lost me when they put down that AA was the best pass rushing 3-4DE in the league for 2016 (Jim O Neil year). That's just one of their metrics that makes me turned off to their player grading. They can stick to charting concrete stats, but their subjective metrics cannot be trusted and when those subjective grading scores are taken as truth is when I have an issue. It has caused a groupthink mentality among the football community.

What was Armstead's PFF run defense grade vs the Lions? He got manhandled by Levine Toilolo in that. It better not be a good grade lol.

Tell that to the posters who said he was drafted to be cowboys replacement..... you demand names which is your right.. i can not whip out names like marshall dillon whips out his six shooter. i am just saying... based upon his body of work for the last four years and the salary we are paying him. i would like to think we could have found someone in the draft or free agency to do more than what he does. just because i can not provide you names.. which no doubt some would just ridicule anyway which is SOP around here,, does not taint my opinion. you like him. i do not. but he is here now so lets see what he does... again
