Dont think anybody is knocking the player just seems like a big wr would have helped us more. Maybe this means they have good faith in patton and ellington to produce? I thougth ward was the reid and bethea backup though considering he didnt look like first round talent at corner. I thought he was going to be moved to safety at some point.

I can see this guy being played like Kam Chancellor or Rodney Harrison, very physical and rugged. I like it!

Ian Rapaport and some others are reporting that the Eagles and another team were trying to trade up for him.

He may work out, but it sure seems like a reach to me. Everything I've seen said mid 3rd round at the earliest.

meh i read this as a plus for jimmy ward as a corner. and as mentioned does he go down and play as an ILB in the nickel on passing downs.

and insurance for injury to bethea or reid.

It cant mean anything else. I really think patton is severely underrated and underutilized. I think ellington is underrated as well.
