Mike Davis looked like a young Frank Gore out there today i expect us having a 3 headed monster at back this yr. Shoot it might even be a 4 headed monster the way Hayne is playing. Love the depth at RB.

I saw more Garrison Hearst lite than Frank Gore but I see a little Frank too. To me it looks like he lost 5-10 lbs and got faster and quicker since college. I'm surprised at how he looks out there and wasn't expecting him to be so quick for being a stout guy.

I'm on board with the Gore comparison. Short area quickness, low and hard running. He seems to like reversing the flow of the run, which might work against 2nd stringers, but he'll learn that's not going to work in most cases. He looks like a solid replacement in case Hunter can't recover from his knee injuries. The two aren't similar in styles, but in terms of backup RB, Davis looks like he is capable.
