I'm really looking forward to seeing Davis this weekend. Young guy with his future to play for. Hope he has a blinder.

Davis should be an EXCELLENT compliment to Hyde. If we get the ground game going, it could 1-2 all morning long!

I was thinking that. His style seems very much in the Hyde mold. I wonder if that was a factor at all when they drafted him?

Hyde seems to be the perfect RB for a ZBS, just like Terrell Davis, Arian Foster, etc.
I just hope Davis does less dancing behind the line and more cutting & heading upfield.

I wonder if Davis will be the better power runner?

I keep hearing about Davis and his tendency to dance behind the line.
This video of a high school game made Australian news yesterday and I immediately thought of Davis (no comparison intended):

I think so too, I think he'll come in to give Hyde a breather and the Pitt D will think they're catching a breather in the run game, and then Boom! Mike Davis

I'd like to see Davis truck someone or bruise some defenders to soften them up a little making way for Hyde to take one to the house.

Wasn't going to say this, 'cause I know there are a lot of Davis fans out there, but I've always felt he was a bit overrated. Yes, he has many good points and definitely some potential, but let's not canonize him quite yet fellas. He has one major flaw that I'm not alone in noticing and that's a tendency to dance when he should just make a cut and go, or in some cases, just go. Don't know if it's a vision thing, but I think if he corrects just that one aspect of his game, he'd take a giant leap forward. Can't comment on his blocking or receiving, since I haven't seen enough of that to say. JMHO
