Not gonna bad mouth the kid yet but let's just say the drop off is significant when he comes in for Hyde.

So after game 3 what are we all still thinking of Davis as the back up RB?
If Bush is back for Game 4 will davis sit the bench?
can you compare the back up RB spot like a relief pitcher? that is a change up to the way things are going if the main guy is struggling?
if so why would you have Davis, basically a clone of Hyde as the relief RB? so what is Bush then ?
davis stats are not that flattering either.
7 for 14 game 2
7 for 6 game 3

Not even bad mouthing him. The game looks to fast for him right now. He needs to be benched.

Kid appears both small and not quick. Not sure where his game is supposed to be. Hes looked very much lackluster so far and hayne should be above him on the depth chart imo.

With Bush back game 3 I think Davis will get benched.
Just hope they give davis another chance and I feel for the kid but the game stats don't lie
I do wonder as well how Hayne would have gone with the same number of snaps Davis got over the last 2 games. fictional I know but still have to wonder.

Can we please admit that we made a mistake drafting this guy and just stop giving him snaps?
He looks the part of an NFL RB, but his vision is awful, he plays scared and has zero power.
I don't care if we only bring Hayne in on running downs, every time we give Mike Davis the ball it's a wasted play. Even Hayne at least gets a couple yards.
I'm failing to understand the value of this guy.

He was said to be a "Gore clone"... outside of the paper measureables, he's not even close. They don't even have the same build, Gore had thick, powerful lower body.
There is no such as "development" for RB's, running the football is pure instincts and raw athleticism, he's losing yards on all but garbage carries and his lack of physical power combined with how scared he runs gives me zero confidence that there is a bright future for him.
If he wasn't a 4th round pick, Idk if he would be on the roster, and to me, that's not enough to keep a player at another position that could actually help us off the 53.

One word - SLOW. That's all there is to say about this guy.
We need to find more RB firepower in the ext draft.

Agree that he hasn't shown much so far. Would still like to see Hayne get some of his snaps.
Looking at his college tape, he does play like Gore (shifty/slashing). But I haven't seen it yet in a pro uniform. He's too indecisive (dancing) and I'm not sure if he's at peak physical fitness yet. Maybe part of it is the blocking, but either way, Davis has got some work to do.

just wondeirng, what does Davis has to do with our poor performances for the last 2 games??
did you all think he was gonna have a 200 yard day for each games???
Drafting Davis or picking him over Hunter is not a mistake..
The guy just isn't getting his # called enough, and with the last 2 games being over before we got started, you didn't expect the starter to run for over 130 yards, and you sure should NOT expect the backups to ge their fair share of carried, did you??
