He sucked before he got hurt! The fact that Hayne got cut shows how dumb this coaching staff is.

True. Hayne was behind the same oline in the same team and qb for his 8 carries for a 3.1ave in regular season. Small sample to be fair, but he just looks like making yards and looks like a threat, 2 runs in particular where he was contacted at the line but fought and bounced his way 9yards dragging defenders. Davis hasnt done that once with the same personnel.

How do you begin to evaluate the RB with the line we have? The line isn't getting nearly the amount of heat it deserves.

in a small sample a pretty high avg would be promising because when the sample starts to grow, the avg usually tends to the true mean aka upwards. now, he ran for 3.1 yards on avg? not good at all imho, based on aforementioned theory.Originally posted by theauviper:True. It was a direct comparison to his competition davis bush and gaskins. In any case we will soon know if hayne cleared waivers and if he does i expect he will be on the 53 next week.
Oh and anything over 3ypc is quite fine really

#49ers RB Mike Davis will have surgery tomorrow on his broken hand, I'm told. After surgery, he'll know for sure how long he's out.

Any nfl rb can easily replace him and probably be an upgrade.

Mike Davis is turning into Kendal Hunter. Hunter never really played well in games but managed to stick around for years, mostly due to injury.
M Davis stunk it up up to this point but will magically get better the more time he loses to injury.
