Can't see who, but holding on our RG lol

Not seeing a hold by Brown (77) there. The guys he's facing are too busy flying backwards to get held.

Brown is not a RG, might help if you knew your positions
RG is Pears #71

Pears is absolutely horrendous. I mean really really bad. For fun, one should go watch all the tape on Trenton Brown and just watch what happens right next to him with Pears. It's almost comical.

Looked up Davis' biggest run. +13

More impressed with TBrown on this play.

And terrific seal blocks by McDonald and Belldozer at the initial hole.

I think we'll be seeing lots more of this very soon.

lol crazy what can happen when there's a actual hole to run through. No reason to think Davis can't improve behind a real OL. Like thl said he did spend too much time dancing (which isn't his game) he's a one cut guy and I think will improve tons under chip.

People forget he's a very solid pass blocker and can catch the ball as well. He'll make for a fine RB2

That play is just good blocking. The only thing you can really give Davis credit for is making someone miss on the spin move, but in that game (rewatched it yesterday) he also gave up a couple yards two other times on that same spin move.

The more I watch, the more I see Bell in on a lot of key blocks last year. I really hope this dude can develop to the next level of his game this season. Looking forward to monitoring his progress.

Agreed. By the end of the season, he was becoming more and more of a balanced TE. Lots of upside indeed.

Gif or it didn't happen. Kidding.

But yeah, he's going to have to start showing more this year.

I mean it's safe to say most positive running plays are based around good blocking lol.
If as noted above , good running plays are the result of good blocking, whether we have Beadles/Garnett at RG , then Brown, then Bell, you are talking about over 1000 lbs of massive beef wiht a running start...that makes for one heckuva hole buster for the RB...Davis or not. McD is a very good blocker...but Bell is a massive very good blocker...who just so happens to have good hands and is very athletic. Traditionally we have run L side for have-to-get yards, but now, R side looks pretty darn good also.

...and I didn't include the OC, who usually pulls on plays like this. Without him, we have over half a ton of blocking beef. Add in the OC and, well....it would be hard to keep this play under 8-10 yds.

Totally agree...I'll add Vance is 6-4 267 with 10+ hands, 34+ arms, and ran a 4.69. I beleive he ranked in the 93 percentile in his SPARQ scores as well. He's already a stud blocker if he can just work on his hands (for the love of God) I'm expecting big things for him.
I think Davis will do well this year, i at least hope so. Dont wanna see guys like Draughn and Harris on our team. Rather have Guapo, the prodigal son, Davis from Bankhead and the Plane doing work
