Our RB situation outside of Hyde is laughable. Now that Hayne is gone i have no hope in any of these guys. Mike Davis and his 1.1 ypc give me a break. Baalke failed again

Draughn and Harris showed that they were at least serviceable backs last year working behind a not so great line. If the line play improves this year they might be even better, certainly good enough to spell Hyde from time to time to limit his wear and tear. Davis remains a question mark and Taylor is an unknown at this point but there are probably only a handful of teams that have more than two quality backs so I'm not sure how this represents a failure on Baalke's part.
Maybe Baslke could have created some more "competition" at RB. A guy with only one good game should not be so clearly ahead of the other backs

Plenty of depth in free agency

Lol 35 career attempts and he automatically sucks!? Instant gratification is ridiculous with some of you...What the hell were you hoping for in hayne? Dude fumbled first time he got the ball in the regular season and didn't even understand RB fundamentals, but yes we are doomed without him lol.

How about you look at how they made improvements to the OL long with getting a head coach that KNOWS how to run the ball why can't any of our current RBs be better?

If the coaching staff is really unhappy with our current RBs, Foster might be worth a look...most of his injures are soft tissue injuries which chip and his staff have been great at avoiding ( workout regimen & food and sleep practices) dude thrives in ZBS.

IMO I think we are fine with all our young backs and one of the Harris/draughn.

PR/KR is something to look at... Any of our rookies have reps in that area?

How ya only gonna have 6 more yards in total over a dude who never played the sport before when you had double the carries he did

Mike Davis

He should get Haynes carries now that Rugby is retiring. Stats shoul improve to 52 carries for 110 yards...lol
Can't blame anyone for Hayne. he wanted to represent his country. Now our rb situation will be a little more interesting.
Davis has more of a chance now, but Hayne was on the roster bubble anyway. Little impact to the RB competition ultimately.

Only if you believed that Hayne was any sort of competition to Davis to begin with. His only shot on to this roster was as a returner IMO. That is over with now.
