RB Mike Davis

Reminds me of a Mark Ingram type of back, just needs patience... A lot of young RB's wanna blast in the hole and pick up anything, gotta do it Frank Gore style, always setting your feet up with the blocks to explode last second if you have to in order to get maximum yards out of the play. Here's to hoping, our OL gets the first initial push consistently to setup the running/passing game.

If he can't beat out two football nomads who a no point in their careers were top RBs -- Davis needs to go. He doesn't just need to be good this preseason. He needs to be better than the other guys. I'll believe it when I see it.
Harris runs nice, like his explosiveness and Draugns a poor mans Matt Forte, does a lil bit of everything. Gonna be a nice battle. Haven't heard much from any backup RBs?

If he plays at the same level as they do, he's going to get the roster spot simply by being younger and having more upside.

Who said he can't? Why does he have to go after one season and 35 carries? If he can aleast be AS good as those two nomads then he doesn't leave they do....who has more of a future on this team two old RBs or a 2nd yr 4th rd pick?

It blows my mind that ya'll think you can judge a football player off of 35 attempts then got injuried smh.

Draughn Avg 3.5 ypc last yr which is very poor, he can catch the ball and line up on the outside which is a plus...but you should check out some of Davis' college tape he can catch the ball very well.

He is too young and too weak. Then cut him. If he is too young and too work hard then its good.. but depend his age for strong or weak that both wiher. The age is strong about 24 to 29 years old than 20 to 23.. depend..

Hey, my nickname is Yoda and resent that, I do. But understand I do, what Buzz write.
Davis' youth and draft status are his upside if he is willing to work and learn.
Depends on what the coaches prefer, upside or experience.

Oh yeah, I have ... I was excited for him last year, I like Harris and Draugn from what i saw under the positions they were put in and the talent they had surrounding them. I wouldn't be shocked if he gets cut, but my gut tells me hell make team after a scrappy battle.

Can't tell ya the last time a 4th rd pick got cut after one year?? Any names come to mind? Especially when you have really zero depth at the position...your basically calling him one of the worst RBs in the league when you think he should be cut after 35 carries, with no OL, being injuried, and the worst coaching staff in the league behind him last yr

This is one position to keep a eye on this preseaon for sure!
I remember when Seattle cut Chris Harper his first year and we tried to make him Delanie 2.0. Mo Clarrett a former 3rd rounder was cut his first year as well. Davis can be a great backup to Hyde, time will tell.

How about now?
