Yeah, that's the place I see Hayne being more immediately useful (even in my ignorance). I hope they chuck him into that spot early and give him the chance, I reckon he won't disappoint and it will give him the confidence he needs.

Having more good RB's around is a plus for Hayne anyway. More guys to watch, learn and get advice from. Hope Davis goes well.

Makes sense considering Reggie Bush is only a 1 year deal. Also Hunter may not be a long-term 49er.

I like this pick, he finds the holes and doesn't dance around a lot. one or two cuts and he's always moving forward. (sound familiar )

Solid depth and could be a starter in a pinch. hopefully our coaching staff can light a fire in him because conditioning seemed to be a issue.

i'm thinking he gets some action towards the end of the season. I don't see Hunter or Bush making it all the way through.

i hope and think they will make it through, but of course you remember last year at this time when we thought we had a wealth of backs and then at the end of the year we had one healthy back and that was gore. a wise pick. i am pretty sure reggie will only be here a year. the best thing is that hunter will make it back, hyde will continue to do what he started out doing last year,, davis will be solid and we can thank reggie for a good one year and let him go.

Can't go wrong with a battle-tested SEC RB...especially one coached by Spurrier. He's very much a Gore-like RB...almost identical size and a very tough guy.

Not really...BPA amongst the 4-5 positions you need maybe, unless they are exceptional like Patrick Willis or Khalil Mack, then you can break the rules. None of these guys are exceptional enough to consider the BPA at the time of their pick.

Gore ran a very slow ~~4.9 40 at the end. But he was the quickest guy and fastest for ~10 yards.

Great Pick ....But I doubt he will see many snaps in the regular season, something tells me Kendall Hunter is going to run that rock HARD next season
